The eastern Kunlun area has undergone different times' structural evolution and magmatic activities. Of all, the land-ocean transformation process of the early Paleozoic era and late Paleozoic era to early Mesozoic era has played a crucial role for strata, structure, magamitic activity and mineralization in the area. The exhalation-spout type deposits of the early Paleozoic era and the orogenic type deposits of the late Paleozoic to early Mesozoic era are the most important deposit groups. The spatial distribution of exhalation-spout type deposits are controlled by the Wanbaogou Group, Nachitai Group, Maerzheng Group and Xiabayanlela Group strata. The intrusive rock bodies of the late Variscan to Indosinian and Yanshanian dominate the distribution of the orogenic type deposits. The ore belts, mining area, deposits and ore-bodies are all controlled by the deep faults, large scale shear zones and the fold and fault-crack system aside.
