The dynamic of main physiological-biochemical indicators on leaf physiological activity, quality and resistant ability had been studied by using spectrophotometry in diferent ripe period of Xanthi Basma which is the main variety of Oriental tobacco in Baoshan. The results showed that the activity of NR, PPO and POD, content of CHL and PRO decreased as well as the specific gravity, while the content of MDA increased with the ripeness of leaf. According to dynamic of the enzyme activity and the content of CHL, PRO and MAD, the standard and characters on leaves' ripeness had been suggested that the leaves in lower position of stalk should be havested earlier, while the leaves in middle and upper position harvested when they are in the time of ripe.
