马斯克林高压的强度变化对大气环流影响的数值试验 预览 被引量:43

THE INFLUENCE OF INTENSITY CHANCE OF MASCARENE HIGH ON THE GENERAL CIRCULATION OF ATMOSPHERE-A NUMERICAL EXPERIMENT

摘要 本文用一菱形截断15个波的九层的CCM进行了一组数值试验,研究了南印度洋上马斯克林高压(以下简称马高)对大气环流的影响。结果表明:马高增强以后首先增强了45°E附近索马里越赤道气流以及北印度洋西部的亦道西风,使得最大西风轴线北侧气旋性环流发展,降雨量增大。同时由于马高能量频散的结果,澳高也随之增强,从而增强了105°E—120E°处越赤道气流,使得南海菲律宾地区气旋性环流发展,降雨量增大。以上两方面使东亚西南季风和局地Hadlev环流增强,随而西太平洋付高增强。马高的增强不仅对邻近区域环流有短中期影响。而且使全球大气可以发生低频响应,在全球产生三个主要波列。一个是南半球的纬向波数3型,北半球有两个,主要的一个是从日本到美国东南部。文中对这一波列形成原因进行了讨论。 上述试验结果与观测研究结果甚为一致,因此马斯克林高压是影响南北半球相互作用,影响东亚大气环流的一个十分重要的环流系统。 Observation study of Huang and TangC3, 43 has shown that a largs number of circulation systems in low latitudes, such as the subtropical highs, equatorial westerlies, cross-equatorial currents etc. exhibit certain medium-range oscillation in-variation of intensity and position during the summer months. It occurs first over the southern Indian Ocean and then follows the one over the northwestern Pacific Ocean. The physical processes of teleconnection are elucidated. Besides, it is also pointed out that the key components of the Asian summer monsoon regime should be the NW Pacific High and the Mascarene High. A new schematic model of the summer regime is proposed. This paper mainly aims to verify the above findings. In order to do this, a global spectral general circulation model is used in simulation experiment to demonstrate the influence of intensity change of the Mascarene High on the variation of atmospheric general circulation. The model is truncated at wave number 15 and variables are presented by nine sigma levls in vertical. Three experiments, a control run and two anomaly runs, are performed. In the anomaly run, either a geopotential height anomaly or a vorticity anomaly is superposed on the Mascarene High at 850 hPa level. It is found that anomalous intensification of the Mascarene High will result in strengthening of the Australian High, the cross-equatorial currents, the tropical convergence zone, the Hadley circulation and the NW Pacific High. It is quite consistent with observation. Basides, anomalous intensification of Mascarene High will also make a substantial contribution to the development of global low frequency fluctuations of atmosphere. Three wave trains can be found. The first one is a zonal wave train of K=3 in the Southern Hemisphere. The second is the one with a low center to south of Japan, a high center over Okhotsk Sea, a low center over N.
