A series of copolymer of propylene resins for automobile were successfully developed in a gas phase polypropylene plant and their mechanical properties and thermal properties were studied. The results in dicate that the resins have high impact strength and proper flexural modulus and hardness. Specifically, the Izod impact strength at ambient temperature is 7-12 kJ/m2, Izod impact strength at low temperature 3-4 kJ/m2, flexural modulus 900-1 200 MPa and Rockwell hardness higher than 85.
