The advances in research on carbon nano-tube/polyolefin (CNTs/PO) composites were reviewed and a comment on the development trend of the composites was set forth in this paper. CNTs can play a significant part in raising mechanical, electrical and optical properties of polyolefin. The tensile strength of CNTs/polyethylene (CNTs/PE) is increased by 20% compared with pure PE. When ω(CNTs) reaches 0.3%, the volume resistivity of CNTs/PE with ultra-high molecular mass (CNTs/UHMWPE) is less than 1×109 (Ω·cm) and is able to satisfy the antistatic requirement. In case ω(CNTs) attains 0.01%, the total ultra-violet transmittance of the film made of CNTs/PE is lowered from 67.5% to 32.0%.
