Objective In the paper, porous bioceramics was fabricated by incorporation of forming pore agents and gelcasting. The correlative properties of the porous bioceramics were studied. Methods Porous β -TCP ceramics was fabricated by incorporation of forming pore agents and gelcasting. Preparation of a concentrated suspension with high solid volume loading and low viscosity was studied. Results Elimination of the organics of green body and mechanism of sintering green body were discussed. Conclusion (1) In pH value=9, a concentrated suspension with high solid volume loading and low viscosity was prepared. In order to improve the ceramic powders' Zeta potential, suitable dispersant PAA-NH,, must be added in. (2) The porous bioceramics had massive macropore by adding in a great deal of forming pore agents, which were active processed carbon. (3) The compression strength of the porous bioceramics was 4.62MPa, the porosity of the porous ceramics was 67.14%, the density mean value was 1.28g/cm3.
