Objective To study the relationship between cognitive style and anxiety, depression. Methods EFT, STA! and SDS are used to assess 273 high school students in grade three.Results (1) There is no obvious disparity between art students and science students interms of cognitive style, anxiety and depression (P>0. 05). (2) There is an obvious difference between male and female students as to cognitive style in science class(P<0. 05). Male students are morefield independent.(3) There is an obvious disparity between male and female students as to anxiety and depression (P<0.05). Female studentsare more anxious and depressed. (4) The correlation between cognitive style and anxiety, depression is significant(P<0.01).Conclusion Cognitive style closely relates to anxiety and depression.
