The physical and mechanical properties of synthetic diamond can be promoted because of boron entering, which are much better than that of normal one. Especially, it has been proved that the boron-doped diamond is semiconductor. Now, study on the boron-doped diamond film is much more than that on the single crystal. Relatively, the work on synthesizing technology of synthetic boron-doped diamond single crystal is very poor. So, it is very important for synthetic diamond industry to explore a kind of synthesizing technology, which is operated easily, costs less and can stabilizes diamond quality. Meanwhile, the new technology is helpful to enrich the classes of synthetic diamond and improve its properties. This paper summarizes seven methods of synthesis boron-doped diamond crystal and illustrates their characters. At the same time, the relative work which is made by the study team that author affiliated, is also introduced. The orientation and keystone of further study on it are indicated and the application foreground of boron-doped diamond single crystal is also mentioned.
