A comprehensive evaluation of middle- and- low yield cultivated land in Ezhou was carried out based on GIS, AHP, and fuzzy mathematics. The limiting factors were appraised. Result showed that total area of Ezhou is 40892.3 hm^2, and area below level 3 is about 30169.3 hm^2, which amounts to 73.78% of the total cultivated lard. Most of low yield land belonged to four types, i.e., waterlogged, irrigated, infertile and obstructed horizons. These types accounted for 22.84%, 25.04%, 16.76%, and 9.14% of the total, respectively. According to the limiting factors for low yield land and its spatial distributions, it was divided into three districts, which were chao- earth plain region with waters, red - and - yellow soil region with low hills and red - sand- earth region with low mountains. In line with the characters for different regions, the proper amending measures were put forward.
