Effect of Carbon Content on Microstructure of 430 Stainless Steel

摘要 应用热模拟试验方法,分析了C含量分别为0.029%和0.100%的两种铁素体不锈钢SUS430在加热到1150-1250℃的组织变化。通过热模拟试验发现,碳含量较高的430H试样,在较低温度(1150℃)下加热时会进入两相区;而碳含量较低的430L试样即便在较高温度(1250℃)下加热时不会进入两相区,保持单相的铁素体组织。在碳含量控制较低的情况下,加热温度和保温时间对晶粒尺寸的影响都在正常范围之内,但保温时间不宜太长,模拟试验中以10 min为宜,可以根据能耗和效率以及后续加工的要求进行选择。 The microstructure change of the ferritic stainless steel (SUS430) with 0.029%C and 0.100%C was analyzed by thermal simulation experiment. The results show that the higher carbon sample (430H) will enter the two phase area at the low temperature of 1150℃ ;but the lower carbon sample (430L) will not enter the two phases area at the higher temperature of 1250℃ and keep the single phase ferritic microstructure. Under the conditions of low carbon and the proper holding time ,the impaction of the heating temperature and holding time on grain size is normal when the time is about 10rain in the thermal simulation experiment ,and the parameters can be chosen according to the energy consumption, efficiency and the continual forming request.
