Objective To obtain a better understanding of atypical Kawasaki disease via a thorough diagnostic analysis on the disease. Methods Cases of atypical Kawasaki disease were retrospectively analyzed. Resnits Only 3 or 4 items of diagnostic criteria were diagnosed and recorded in atypical Kawasaki disease comparing to the 6 for typical Kawasaki disease; coronary artery dilation is therefore suggested as an important signal. Conclusion Atypical Kawasaki disease resemble other diseases in variety of symptoms. Therefore, the key to early diagnosis is to send patients for ultrasonic cardiogram as to lessen possible harm from coronary artery dilation.
