Zhad was a kind of traditional Mongolian medicine for stanching. The stanching activity of Zhad was assessed by studying the coagulant activity using the method of measuring the coagulation time of the mice fed with Zhad, and different menstruum extract of the drug. The results of the test for coagulant activity indicated that the coagulation time of serum of mice was prolonged when the mice were fed with Zhad and some of the extracts comparing with that of control group.
