Fabrication of flake-like nickel powders and evaluation of the magnetic performance

摘要 利用湿法研磨法由微米镍粉制得了不同尺寸的片状镍粉;利用X射线衍射仪和扫描电子显微镜研究了研磨参数对片状镍粉形貌和微观结构的影响;测定了产物的室温磁性能.结果表明,球料比和研磨时间是影响片状镍粉形貌的关键因素,片状镍粉的剩磁比和矫顽力都比原料微米镍粉的高.所采用的制备方法具有效率高、成本低且产物形状及磁性能可控的特点,适合于大规模生产;得到的片状镍粉在催化、磁存储材料以及电磁屏蔽和电磁波吸收等领域具有潜在的应用价值. Flake-like Ni powders with different size were successfully fabricated by wet sand-milling of micro-sized nickel powders.The effect of milling parameters on the morphology and microstructure of the flake-like Ni powders was studied by means of X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The room temperature magnetic performance of the Ni flakes was evaluated.It was found that both the bead/Ni powder mass ratio and milling time played key roles in governing the microstructures of the Ni flakes.Besides,the Ni flakes had higher squareness and coercivity values than micro-sized nickel powder.The present approach has the advantages of fast rate and low cost,and may find promising application in effectively controlling the shape and magnetic properties of Ni flakes and in large-scale production as well.Resultant Ni flakes might have potentials in the fields of catalysis,magnetic storage,shielding of electromagnetic interference and electromagnetic wave absorption.
