As the main components in an air-cooled steam condenser, flow characteristics of＂ the finned tnbe exchanger plays key roles to deternfine the performance of the whole condenser. In the paper, the numerical nmdel of tile single row finned tube exchangers is established. The internal flow field inside the fins under typical working conditions is simulated, anti the flow characteristics of the exchangers at different frontal velocity are obtained. It is found that the flow loss inside the fins rises continuously with the increase of the frontal velocity, and the difference of the pressure loss is very low. Tile consistency hetween the between the simulation and the experimental data shows the precision of the established model. The study is significant to improve and optimize the performance of the air-cooled power plant.
