Objective ：To observe the effects of exercise prescription on physical intervention. Methods：One hundred and fifty-three participants were selected from 4 elderly fitness teams of Shanghai Hongkou district. The targeted exercise prescription was formulated in detail according to their physical condition and exercise load. Body mass index, waistlines, hiplines, body fat percentage and the level of blood-lipid of all participants were compared in 6 months after intervention. Results：The differences of the serum total cholesterol and body mass index levels between before and after exercise were not statistical significance（ P 〉 0.05 ）. The differences of triacylglycerol, low density lipoprotein and body mass index between before and after exercise were statistical significance （P 〈 0.05 - P 〈 0.01 ）. Conclusions ：Effective and scientific exercise can improve the related physiological and biochemical indexes of physique, and can reduce the incidence of chronic diseases.
