The working mechanism and shear stress distribution of inner bonding section of prestressed cableswithin rock mass are detailly discussed. An innovative design is presented to calculate the necessary length of in-ner bonding section by employing the formula with exponential form distributron of shear stress. As this is a newway, it will be further studied.
