Objective：To evaluate the effects of ClassⅡdivision 2 malocclusion in early permanent dentition patients by straight wire technology combined with improved Twin-block appliance. Method：13 early permanent dentition patients with Class Ⅱ division 2 malocclusion were treated.Firstly,straight wire appliances were bonbed on maxillary 5-5 for lining tongue leaning upper anterior teeth,then they were treated with improved Twin-block appliances.Finally,the full teeth were adjusted finely with straight wire technology. Cephalograms were taken before and after treatment to compare the changes before and after treatment. Result：The overjet and the relationship of the molars and cuspid teeth were changed significantly. The mandibular development was remarkablely improved and the profile became balanced. Conclusion：Straight wire technology and improved Twin-block appliance contribute to a harmonious relationship in early permanent dentition patients of classⅡdivision 2 malocclusion.
