Objective To explore the clinical features and treatment of young women with breast cancer. Methods The clinical date of 115 female cases of breast cancer with age ≤35 years who were treated in People＇ s Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January of 2010 to March of 2014 were retrospectively ananlyzed and compared with those of 115 female cases of breast cancer with age 〉~60 years as control group selected randomly during the same period. The tumor stage, pathological type, lymph node metastasis, immunohistochemical index, molecular classification, operation method of two groups were compared. Results The number of middle - late breast cancer patients in young group were significantly higher than elderly group （ P 〈 0. 05）. There were 75 patients （65.2%） with lymph node metastasis in young group and 43 cases （42.6%） in elderly group, and the difference was statistically significant （ P 〈 0. 05 ）. Pathological types in the two groups were not statistically different （ P 〉 0. 05 ）. ER positive rate of young group was lower than the elderly group （ P 〈 0. 05 ）. There was no diffrence in PR, HER2 positive rates （P 〉 0. 05 ）. The proportion of Luminal A type in young group was significantly lower than elderly group （ P 〉 0. 05）. The proportion of triple - negative breast cancer was higher than elderly group （P 〈 0. 05）. The rate of breast - conserving therapy in young group was higher than elderly group （ P 〉 0. 05 ）. Conclusion Breast cancer in young women had late staging, high proportion of lymph node metastasis, high positive rate of ER, high proportion of Luminal A type and triple - nega- tive breast cancer. Young patients with breast cancer are more prone to breast - conserving therapy.
