Objective To explore the application of We Chat public platform in continued nursing on catheter-related in peripherally inserted central catheter（PICC） patients discharged from hospital. Methods From February to May in2015,100 patients with breast cancer who were equipped with catheter and discharged from hospital were randomly selected and evenly divided into conventional group and observation group.By conventional propaganda and education knowledge with PICC patients′ requirements,electronic education knowledge with pictures and illustrations was designed and provided with specialized guidance on preventing tube plugging,hemorrhage,tube breaking,edema,and inflammation for patients in video and graphics form by instant transmission function from We Chat public No.platform as well as explanation on nursing problems put forward by patients. Results In the observation group, continued nursing was applied by We Chat public No. platform.The occurrence of complication was lower than that of conventional group（P〈0.05）. In the observation group,patient′s satisfaction was 96%,higher than that of conventional group accounting for90%. Conclusion Application of We Chat public No.platform is an effective continued nursing method for PICC patients with tubes,which greatly decreases the incidence of PICC-related complications and remarkably improves satisfaction in patients with tubes discharged from hospital.
