Objective Objective To understand the antibody levels of Japanese encephalitis among crowd and the pigs in Baos- han City, to infer the crowd vaccination effect and pig infection status, and provide the evidences for scientific preven- tion. Methods The pig and human serum samp｜es were tested by using ELISA, and the data was analyzed by SPSS 13.0. Results A total of 351 healthy human serum samples were collected in five counties, the IgG antibody positive were 349, the positive rate was 99.43%, and the statistical difference was observed among age groups（χ^2= 15.21, P 〈 0. 01 ）. In the case of pig serum samples of 240 in Longyang District, antibody positive were 222, the positive rate was 92.50%, the statistical significant differences were also observed among different study places（χ^2= 32. 57, P 〈 0. 01 ）. Conclusion The immuni- zation effect among crowd is good in Baoshan City, and the pig infection rate is higher, comprehensive prevention and control measures based on vaccination should be continued to strengthen to reduce the hazards.
