The principles of As（V） removal from water by precipitation and membrane technologies were briefly introduced, and the effect of main factors on treatment efficiency was analyzed, the application research and research progress of technologies at home and abroad were reviewed. The current problems of technologies were summarized and solutions were proposed, development directions and application prospects were also put forward. It needed to optimize the precipitation process to control medicament dosage, solidified and utilized a large amount of generated sludge. Further development of electrocoagulation and magnetic coagulation and power generation with clean energy was the development direction. The nanofiltration had obvious advantage in membrane technologies, and the coagulation process combined with low pressure membrane was more economical. the solutions for membrane fouling, concentrated water and sludge treatment were the research directions of the membrane technology.
