The contradiction between energy demands and its distribution range has been solved by the construction of ultra-high voltage （UHV）grid, meeting the requirements for developing large-scale energy base and connecting large-scale renewable to the grid. This paper introduces the status and characteristics of AC/DC transmission technologies, concludes that the basic characteristics of ＂strong DC and weak AC＂ become increasingly prominent, and makes a research on the interaction of AC/DC power grids. Finally, according to the problems with the above statements in the operation of the grid, the paper proposes some countermeasures, making UHV AC/DC hybrid power grid suitable for the operation model of large power grid to guarantee the security and stability of the grid.
