OBJECTIVE：To probe into the clinical efficacy of Fufang Tongye Shaoshangyou in dressing change of tertiary wounds of dog bites. METHODS： 60 patients with tertiary wounds of dog bites undergoing dressing change in outpatient in the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from Jan. 2017 to Apr. 2018 were selected and divided into observation group and control group via random number table, with 30 cases in each. The control group was given dressing change with skin disinfectant of Anerdian III, while the observation group was given Fufang Tongye Shaoshangyou for dressing change. Differences in clinical efficacy, wound healing time, frequencies of dressing change and pain scores between two groups were compared. RESULTS： The total effective rate of observation group was 96.67%（29/30）, which was significantly higher than that of the control group（76.67%, 23/30）, with statistically significant difference（P0.05）; the wound healing time, frequency of dressing change and pain score of observation group were significantly better than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences（P0.05）. CONCLUSIONS： Fufang Tongye Shaoshangyou can effectively improve the healing of tertiary wound of dog bites, shorten the healing time, reduce the frequency of dressing change and relieve pain.
