The paper aims to study the relationship among parameters of laser cutting and improve the quality and efficiency of laser cutting. Hot-formed parts with thickness of 1.0~3.0 mm were selected for laser cutting test. Cutting blocks, holes and edges were selected for analysis. With the increase of material thickness, parameters such as focus, power and nozzle distance of laser cutting needed to be increased, and parameters such as air pressure and speeded need to be decreased. The laser cutting parameters of different thickness hot-formed parts were summarized through experiments. The optimal parameter setting scheme for laser cutting of different thickness hot-formed parts can be set up by experiments.
