Objective To explore the application effect of PBL combined with clinical pathway teaching method in teaching rounds of standardized training for resident physicians in digestive department. Methods A total of 60 physicians trained in digestive medicine in our hospital from August 2016 to July 2018 were selected as the subjects of study. They were randomly divided into study group and control group. In the teaching rounds, the research group adopted PBL combined with clinical pathway teaching method. PBL teaching method was used in the control group. The teaching effect was evaluated by examinations, Mini-CEX, 360-degree evaluation and student satisfaction. Results The results of the examination, Mini-CEX and 360-degree evaluation all indicate that the teaching effect of the research group is better than that of the control group, and the satisfaction of the trainees is also significantly improved. Conclusion PBL combined with clinical pathway teaching method has a good effect in the teaching rounds of standardized training of resident physicians in digestive department.
