Compared with conventional interchanges, multi-way interchanges have more traffic flow directions without fixed interchange mode as references, and they are difficult to design. If only a corresponding number of ramps are set according to the direction of traffic flow, the volume of interchanges is huge, and it is not allowed to be set due to the constraints of surrounding conditions. How to determine the number and type of ramps is the key to the design of multi-way intersections. Combined with the design of Jinhan Interchange of Tianjin Outer-Ring Line, a design mode of complex junction interchange at multi-way intersection is proposed, which is helpful to clarify ideas and reduce design difficulty, and can be used as references for similar projects.
