The air pollution treatment technology will innovate with the change of the situation and characteristics of air pollution in China., which poses a new challenge to the training of air pollution control engineers and technicians. According to social demand for talents with air pollution control engineering skill and innovation ability, the teaching reform on the course of Air Pollution Control Engineering has been carried out by keeping up with hot spots and adding frontiers of subject knowledge in course, and innovating class teaching methods. The methods of applying 'case teaching' have also been used to train students’ engineering awareness and engineering literacy. The multi-level practical teaching platforms were established to cultivate engineering ability. The result shows that the teaching reform has played important role in improving the quality of teaching and innovation ability for students.
