In this era of rapid development of the construction industry, it is very necessary to detect leaks in building construction. In the implementation process of the building, problems such as leakage and empty walls are often encountered. The traditional method of leak detection does not have much effect, the amount of capital invested is large, and it has certain risks. Under such circumstances, the method of combining new technology is the most preferable. The emergence of infrared thermal imaging can solve the above problems. This technology is becoming more and more popular due to its advantages. Such a method has many advantages such as high efficiency, high safety, fast speed, and the like. And the leakage detection in the construction engineering by such a method can improve the detection efficiency. In this paper, the leakage detection of construction engineering is studied, and the feasibility of infrared thermal imaging technology is proved. According to the existing problems, corresponding solutions are proposed.
