摘要 虚拟生物是用计算机媒介对自然生物进行模拟或仿真而形成的人工生物.虚拟生物研究是指那些以计算机为媒介,以计算机程序为生物体的人工生命研究.它为深入考察自然生物的进化现象、生长发育机制以及发展规律提供了更有效的计算机研究手段.借助这些手段,我们可以深入研究动物和植物的遗传变异、杂交、优选的机制,以便发展动物和植物的新品种.虚拟生物的研究促进了理论生物学和生物学哲学的发展. Virtual organisms are artificial organisms, which were formed by Means of simulation of computer. The research of virtual organisms is research of artificial life taking computer program as organisms by means of computer. It provides the powerful means of computer research into investigating deeply on evolution of natural organisms, and its mechanism of growth, and its law of development. By these means, we can research deeply on the mechanism of heredity and hybridization and optimization in order to progress the variety of animals and plants. The research of virtual organisms promote to the developments of Biological theory and Biological philosophy.
