Properties of Charmonium States in a Phenomenological Approach

We investigate the spectrum and decay rates of charmonium states within the framework of the non relativistic quark model by employing a Coulomb like potential from the perturbative one gluon exchange and the linear confining potential along with the potential derived from instanton vacuum to account for the hyperfine mass splitting of charmonium states in variational approach. We predict radiative E1, M1, two-photon, lepton and two-gluon decay rates of low lying charmonium states. An overall agreement is obtained with the experimental masses and decay widths.We have estimated the branching ratio of two gluons decaying into light hadrons. 展开更多

Permeability is a key parameter to describe fluid transport properties of porous medium;however,the permeability measurement is extremely difficult for tight porous medium,e.g.fine-grained rock or dense soil.In this paper,three methods for gas permeability measurement,i.e.steady state method,pulse decay method(PDM)and pressure oscillation method(POM),are first reviewed and then their advantages and drawbacks are discussed.Both analytical and numerical solutions of gas permeability are presented for the tight porous medium.The results show that the analytical method is relatively simple but only valid under certain conditions,whilst the numerical method is more robust and generic,which can take into account several factors such as porosity,saturation,gas leakage,and unconventional boundary conditions.The influence of the effective porosity on the permeability determination is further analyzed using the proposed numerical method.In this study,new pressure data interpretation procedures for PDM and POM are proposed,and the obtained results can serve as a guidance to define a proper method for permeability measurement of the tight porous medium. 展开更多

Computation of products of phase space factors and nuclear matrix elements for double beta decay

Nuclear matrix elements(NME) and phase space factors(PSF) entering the half-life formulas of the double-beta decay(DBD) process are two key quantities whose accurate computation still represents a challenge. In this study, we propose a new approach of calculating these, namely the direct computation of their product as an unique formula. This procedure allows a more coherent treatment of the nuclear approximations and input parameters appearing in both quantities and avoids possible confusion in the interpretation of DBD data due to different individual expressions adopted for PSF and NME(and consequently their reporting in different units) by different authors. Our calculations are performed for both two neutrino(2 vββ) and neutrinoless(0 vββ) decay modes, for five nuclei of the most experimental interest. Further, using the most recent experimental limits for 0νββ decay half-lives,we provide new constraints on the light mass neutrino parameter. Finally, by separating the factor representing the axial-vector constant to the forth power in the half-life formulas, we advance suggestions on how to reduce the errors introduced in the calculation by the uncertain value of this constant, exploiting the DBD data obtained from different isotopes and/or decay modes. 展开更多

b→c τν decay in supersymmetry with R-parity violation

More recently, the Belle Collaboration has reported the first measurement of the D^* longitudinal po... In past years, several hints of lepton flavor universality (LFU) violation have emerged from the b→sl^+l^-and data. More recently, the Belle Collaboration has reported the first measurement of the D^* longitudinal polarization fraction in the B→D^*τν decay. Motivated by this intriguing result, along with the recent measurements of and polarization, we present the study of b→cτν decays in supersymmetry (SUSY) with -parity violation (RPV). We consider B→D^(*)τν, Bc→ηcτν, Bc→J/ψτν and modes and focus on the branching ratios, LFU ratios, forward-backward asymmetries, polarizations of daughter hadrons, and the lepton. The RPV SUSY was capable of explaining the RD^(*)anomalies at the 2σ level, after taking into account various flavor constraints. In the allowed parameter space, the differential branching fractions and LFU ratios are largely enhanced by the SUSY effects, especially in the large dilepton invariant mass region. Moreover, a lower bound 10^-6 is obtained. These observables could provide testable signatures at the high-luminosity LHC and SuperKEKB, and correlate with direct searches for SUSY. 展开更多

The doubly weak transition b-dds is highly suppressed in the Standard Model,which makes it a potential channel for exploring new physics signals.We present a study of the exclusive two-body wrong sign weak decay B^-0→K+π-,which belongs to this class,in the perturbative QCD framework.We perform a model independent analysis for various effective dimension-6 operators for which large effects are possible.We further analyze the considered process in the Randall-Sundrum model,including the custodially protected and the bulk-Higgs Randall-Sundrum models.Exploring the experimentally favored parameter space of these models leads to a large and significant enhancement of the decay rate compared to the Standard Model,which might be accessible in future experiments.We propose to search for the wrong sign decay B^-0→K+π-via flavor-tagged time-dependent analyses,which can be performed at LHCb and Belle-Ⅱ. 展开更多

During the past few years, signs of lepton flavor universality (LFU) violation have been observed in b→cτν and sl^+l^- transitions. Recently, the D^* and τ polarization fractions PL^D^* and PL^τ in B→D^*τν decay were likewise measured by the Belle collaboration. Motivated by these intriguing results, we revisit the RD^(*) and RK^(*) anomalies in a scalar leptoquark (LQ) model, where two scalar LQs, one of which is a singlet and the other a triplet, are introduced simultaneously. We consider five b→cτν mediated decays,B→D^(*)τν,Bc→ηcτν,Bc→J/ψτν, and ∧cτν, and focus on the LQ effects on the q^2 distributions of the branching fractions, LFU ratios, and various angular observables in these decays. Under the combined constraints of the available data on ,RD^(*),RJ/ψ, and PL^D^*, we perform scans for the LQ couplings and make predictions for a number of observables. Numerically it is found that both the differential branching fractions and LFU ratios are largely enhanced by the LQ effects, with the latter expected to provide testable signatures at the SuperKEKB and High-Luminosity LHC experiments. 展开更多

Spontaneous fission(SF) with a new formula based on a liquid drop model is proposed and used in the calculation of the SF half-lives of heavy and superheavy nuclei(Z = 90–120). The predicted half-lives are in agreement with the experimental SF half-lives. The half-lives of decay(AD) for the same nuclei are obtained by using the Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin(WKB) method together with Bohr-Sommerfeld(BS) quantization condition considering the isospin-dependent effects for the cosh potential. The decay modes and branching ratios of superheavy nuclei(Z =104-118) with experimental decay modes are obtained, and the modes are compared with the experimental ones and with the predictions found in the literature. Although some nuclei have predicted decay modes that are different from their experimental decay modes, decay modes same as the experimental ones are predicted for many nuclei. The SF and AD half-lives, branching ratios, and decay modes are obtained for superheavy nuclei(Z = 119–120) with unknown decay modes and compared with the predictions obtained in a previous study. The present results provide useful information for future experimental studies performed on both the AD and SF of superheavy nuclei. 展开更多

In the excitation of the resonant state followed by the sequential cluster-decay, the in-plane angular correlation method is usually employed to determine the spin of the mother nucleus. However, the correlation pattern exhibited in a two-dimensional angular-correlation spectrum depends on the selected coordinate system. In particular, the parity-symmetric and axial-symmetric processes should be presented in a way to enhance the correlation pattern, whereas the non-symmetric process should be plotted separately to reduce the background. In this study, three coordinate systems previously adopted for correlation patterns in the literature are described and compared to each other. The consistency among these systems is evaluated based on the experimental data analysis for the 10.29-MeV state in ^18O. A spin-parity of 4^+ is obtained for all three coordinate systems. 展开更多

Using the thermal-entangled state representation and the operator-ordering method, we investigate Wigner function(WF) for the squeezed negative binomial state(SNBS) and the analytical evolution law of density operator in the amplitude decay channel.The results show that the analytical WF is related to the square of the module of single-variable Hermite polynomials, which leads to a new two-variable special function and its generating function, and the parameters s and γplay opposite roles in the WF distributions.Besides, after undergoing this channel, the initial pure SNBS evolves into a new mixed state related to two operator Hermite polynomials within normal ordering, and fully loses its nonclassicality and decays to vacuum at long decay time. 展开更多

水华微囊藻衰亡后营养盐释放过程研究 预览

在构建的水-沉积物系统中加入死亡的水华微囊藻细胞(烘箱中杀死),研究其衰亡后营养盐的释放过程及迁移转化规律。结果表明:(1)实验期间,微囊藻碎屑迅速分解释放,上覆水中DO和沉积物中氧化还原电位迅速降低;(2)实验初期上覆水中TN、NH4+-... 在构建的水-沉积物系统中加入死亡的水华微囊藻细胞(烘箱中杀死),研究其衰亡后营养盐的释放过程及迁移转化规律。结果表明:(1)实验期间,微囊藻碎屑迅速分解释放,上覆水中DO和沉积物中氧化还原电位迅速降低;(2)实验初期上覆水中TN、NH4+-N、NO3--N大幅上升,第4d达到最高水平,分别升高了16.6、13.3、6.4倍;第4d以后TN、NO3^--N逐渐降低,主要由于厌氧反硝化作用、向间隙水中迁移及NO3-向NH4+转化,NH4^+-N平稳缓慢增加,后期N主要以NH4^+的形式存在;(3)由于藻体分解,上覆水中TP、DTP、SRP、DOP的增加较快,第1d即达到较高水平,分别为初始值的4.10、5.29、4.86、8.33倍;(4)沉积物间隙水中TN、NH4^+-N增幅较大,NO3^--N次之,且NH4^+-N持续升高,间隙水中N的形态也主要以NH4+的形式存在,整个实验阶段间隙水中TP、DTP、SRP一直有所升高,DOP先升高后降低;(5)沉积物成为微囊藻衰亡阶段营养盐释放的“汇”。 展开更多

Influence of Intraseasonal Oscillation on the Asymmetric Decays of El Nino and La Nina 预览

Warm and cold phases of El Nino–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) exhibit a significant asymmetry in their decay speed. To explore the physical mechanism responsible for this asymmetric decay speed, the asymmetric features of anomalous sea surface temperature (SST) and atmospheric circulation over the tropical Western Pacific (WP) in El Nino and La Nina mature-to-decay phases are analyzed. It is found that the interannual standard deviations of outgoing longwave radiation and 850 hPa zonal wind anomalies over the equatorial WP during El Nino (La Nina) mature-to-decay phases are much stronger (weaker) than the intraseasonal standard deviations. It seems that the weakened (enhanced) intraseasonal oscillation during El Nino (La Nina) tends to favor a stronger (weaker) interannual variation of the atmospheric wind, resulting in asymmetric equatorial WP zonal wind anomalies in El Nino and La Nina decay phases. Numerical experiments demonstrate that such asymmetric zonal wind stress anomalies during El Nino and La Nina decay phases can lead to an asymmetric decay speed of SST anomalies in the central-eastern equatorial Pacific through stimulating di erent equatorial Kelvin waves. The largest negative anomaly over the Nino3 region caused by the zonal wind stress anomalies during El Nino can be threefold greater than the positive Nino3 SSTA anomalies during La Nina, indicating that the stronger zonal wind stress anomalies over the equatorial WP play an important role in the faster decay speed during El Nino. 展开更多

In this paper,we focus on studying the asymptotic stability of the monotone decreasing kink profile solitary wave solutions for the generalized KdV-Burgers equation.We obtain the estimate of the firstorder and second-order derivatives for monotone decreasing kink profile solitary wave solutions,and overcome the difficulties caused by high-order nonlinear terms in the generalized KdV-Burgers equation in the estimate by using L2 energy estimating method and Young inequality.We prove that the monotone decreasing kink profile solitary wave solutions are asymptotically stable in H1.Moreover,we obtain the decay rate of the perturbationψin the sense of L^2 and L^∞norm,respectively,which are(1+t)^-1/2 and(1+t)^-1/4 by using Gargliado-Nirenberg inequality. 展开更多
