为实现大型拱形箱型钢结构的装配焊接,开发了一种工装。采用该工装进行埋弧焊接,并研究焊接工艺及焊接变形情况。结果显示:当焊枪倾斜角θ为7°~10°时,可减小焊缝根部出现未焊透的几率。另外,对箱型结构一侧的两条焊缝沿同一... 为实现大型拱形箱型钢结构的装配焊接,开发了一种工装。采用该工装进行埋弧焊接,并研究焊接工艺及焊接变形情况。结果显示:当焊枪倾斜角θ为7°~10°时,可减小焊缝根部出现未焊透的几率。另外,对箱型结构一侧的两条焊缝沿同一方向同时焊接,焊后翻转,再对另一侧的两条焊缝沿相同方向同时焊接,测量发现,上、下两侧的焊缝在横向同时发生了收缩,收缩量2~4mm,在竖直方向几乎没有变化,两条对角线尺寸相差不超过2mm。在上述工装及工艺下施焊,焊接变形可得到控制,满足工程使用要求。 展开更多

Two methodological approaches to assess the seismic vulnerability of masonry bridges

This work describes the seismic vulnerability assessment of a railway masonry arch bridge.Its conservation state is initially investigated by means of a thorough field and laboratory test campaign, comprising destructive and non-destructive tests. Two different methods are used to evaluate the bridge seismic vulnerability. The first method adopts a deterministic approach and corresponds to a single non-linear static analysis, performed as described in the Eurocodes. The second method employs a probabilistic approach and considers the variability of the involved mechanical parameters(structure geometry and properties of the building materials) and seismic parameters(intensity of the action and site conditions). This method associates the probabilistic values of ground acceleration exceedance to the estimated seismic vulnerability. This is shown by means of fragility curves, which allow to take into consideration the uncertainty of the various components involved in the definition of the seismic vulnerability and display the seismic damage scenarios. Currently no code requires to perform this calculation procedure. In addition,this work compares the values of masonry mechanical properties specified in the Eurocodes with those obtained in an extensive investigation campaign involving more than one hundred masonry bridges. Compressive strength and longitudinal elasticity modulus are the relevant mechanical parameters investigated. The outcomes of this research can contribute to the development of a more efficient maintenance system of the masonry bridges belonging to the railway network. This has an important role when it comes to establishing the priority order of assets intervention. 展开更多

筒仓卸料时贮料作用在仓壁上的卸料压力出现骤然增大以及震荡分布的现象,该文从贮料的散体颗粒性入手,采用离散元法和模型试验法研究贮料在静止储粮状态和卸料过程中的力学行为,从细观颗粒层次探求卸料时贮料内部土拱效应与宏观仓壁... 筒仓卸料时贮料作用在仓壁上的卸料压力出现骤然增大以及震荡分布的现象,该文从贮料的散体颗粒性入手,采用离散元法和模型试验法研究贮料在静止储粮状态和卸料过程中的力学行为,从细观颗粒层次探求卸料时贮料内部土拱效应与宏观仓壁卸料压力增大及产生震荡的本质联系。模型为平底立筒仓,高1.0m,宽0.5m,卸料口直径0.1m,数值模型填充20400个球形单元,模型试验贮料为大豆。首先,通过分析卸料中仓底压力分布的周期性变化规律,证实了卸料口附近拱效应的存在。然后选取结拱起始、结拱完成及拱塌落3个时间点仓内贮料的力链网络、竖向应力、横向应力、主应力方向和速度场分布,分析了卸料时的拱效应及其对仓壁卸料压力分布的影响。研究发现,卸料中,筒仓底部的卸料口附近有拱形成,其跨度为卸料口直径的4.0倍,高度为卸料口直径的2.5倍。随着物料的流出,卸料口附近的颗粒物质遵循“拱形成-拱塌落”的动态规律,并据此提出了筒仓卸料的动态成拱机制。深高比0.35处,动态压力修正系数最大为2.70。在深高比0.85处,结拱完成时的仓壁压力达到峰值3.57kPa。分析结果表明,拱的形成是仓壁压力增大的根本原因,动态成拱机制则是宏观仓壁压力产生震荡的根本原因,仓壁压力峰值作用点和最大动态压力修正系数作用点并不一致。动态成拱机制以及由此引发的仓壁卸料压力分布规律,可为构建机理研究的筒仓结构安全设计提供参考。 展开更多

Arches are widely used when large spans are necessary, e.g. to overpass large rivers, and further possess unquestioned aesthetics advantages. Their structural efficiency depends primarily on optimal material exploitation, i.e. minimization of internal stress eccentricity,and on minimization of structural material volume. An efficient structure, under these terms, further requires simpler and lighter scaffolding, contributing in minimizing construction costs.Although arches have millenary use and many researches dealing with this typology are available in literature, there is still scope for design optimization. The proposed study is framed within this context. Investigation is limited to statically determinate plane arches under vertical load. The problem of finding the profile of an equal strength catenary subjected to its self-weight is spread out to the case of an inverted catenary of equal strength under its self-weight and an external constant load. In the first optimization step, constant normal stress is imposed at all sections, to maximize material exploitation, and the resulting arch centerline shape is computed in closed form. In the second step, the ensemble of foundations and arch is considered and optimized, taking the linear combination of arch weight and thrust as objective function. The linear combination is dependent on a single variable, and minima of the objective function(i.e. optimal geometric shape parameters) are computed and charted to be simply used in the design process. 展开更多

This paper addresses a nonlinear feedback control problem for the chaotic arch micro- electro-mechanical system with unknown parameters,immeasurable states and partial state-constraint subjected to the distributed electrostatic actuation.To reflect inherent properties and design controller, the phase diagrams,bifurcation diagram and Poincare section are presented to investigate the nonlinear dynamics.The authors employ a symmetric barrier Lyapunov function to prevent violation of constraint when the arch micro-electro-mechanical system faces some limits.An RBF neural network system integrating with an update law is adopted to estimate unknown function with arbitrarily small error. To eliminate chaotic oscillation,a neuro-adaptive backstepping control scheme fused with an extended state tracking differentiator and an observer is constructed to lower requirements on measured states and precise system model.Besides,introducing an extended state tracking differentiator avoids repeated derivative for the virtual control signal associated with conventional backstepping.Finally,simulation results are presented to illustrate feasibility of the proposed scheme. 展开更多

Occlusion of the common carotid artery(CCA)is rare.CCA occlusion(CCAO)can present as drowsiness and right hemiplegia related to emboli after total arch replacement.Although we selected a followup at first because color duplex sonography showed retrograde flow from the left external carotid artery to the internal carotid artery,this patient had epilepsy and single-photon emission computed tomography(SPECT)acquired quantitative results of actual brain perfusion and showed insufficient collateral blood flow.To improve brain perfusion,we performed a bypass of the left subclavian artery to left CCA bypass.Postoperatively,the patient did not have epilepsy and drowsiness.Also,right hemiplegia improved enough for him to walk with support.SPECT showed increased left cerebral flow(the asymmetry ratio was 71%to 81%).Evaluation of the carotid artery with color duplex sonography alone was insufficient when CCAO showed retrograde or collateral flow.We should have performed quantitative evaluation with SPECT at the same time. 展开更多

For the problem of hydraulic fracture propagation when weakening the hard roof in fully mechanized top-coal caving stope of ultra-thick coal seam,based on the stress arch theory and the fracture mechanics,a two-dimensional model for hydraulic fracture of the roof in the stope was established to investigate the propagation laws of hydraulic fracture.The result shows that,after mining,the principal stress direction of overlaying rock deflects to form the stress arch,whose arrow height and arch thickness increase with the increase of the mining width and the side pressure coefficient.Within the influence range of stress arch,the hydraulic fracture in hard roof deflects towards the stope direction in the course of propagation and forms the‘‘arch”fracture,which cuts off the roof below the fracture in a laminated way.The deflection angle of hydraulic fracture increases with the increase of the mining width,but decreases with the increase of the side pressure coefficient and the fractured horizon.This research can provide theoretical basis for the application of hydraulic fracturing method in the stope roof weakening. 展开更多

Seismic design of Xiluodu ultra-high arch dam 预览

The 285.5 m-high Xiluodu Arch Dam is located in a seismic region along the Jinsha River in China, where the horizontal components of peak ground accelerations for design and checking earthquakes have been estimated to be 0.355g and 0.423g, respectively ( g is the gravitational acceleration). The ground motion parameters of design and checking earthquakes are defined by exceedance probabilities of 2% over 100 years and 1% over 100 years, respectively. The dam shape was first selected and optimized through static analysis of the basic load combinations, and then adjusted after taking into account the seismic loads. The dam should be operational during and after the design earthquake with or without minor repairs, and maintain local and global stabilities during an extreme earthquake. Both linear elastic dynamic analysis and nonlinear dynamic analysis considering radiation damping, contraction joints, and material nonlinearity were conducted to assess the stress in the arch dam. The dynamic analysis shows that the maximum dynamic compressive stresses are less than the allowable levels, while the area with tensile stress over the limit is less than 15% of the dam surface and the maximum contraction openings range from 10 mm to 25 mm. The arch dam has sufficient earthquake-resistance capacity and meets the safety requirements. Nevertheless, steel reinforcement has been provided at the dam toe and in the zones of high tensile stress on the dam surface out of extra precaution. 展开更多
