一种智能营养筛查系统用于住院肿瘤患者营养风险的预测性分析 预览

目的:比较一种智能营养自动筛查系统与NRS 2002在肿瘤患者中的适用性,从而为营养筛查工作的落实提供一种新的方法和选择。方法:采取连续取样的方法,对205名住院成年肿瘤患者进行观察性的横断面研究。在入院后24h内营养师利用NRS 2002对... 目的:比较一种智能营养自动筛查系统与NRS 2002在肿瘤患者中的适用性,从而为营养筛查工作的落实提供一种新的方法和选择。方法:采取连续取样的方法,对205名住院成年肿瘤患者进行观察性的横断面研究。在入院后24h内营养师利用NRS 2002对患者进行营养风险筛查,同时智能营养筛查系统从医院信息系统(HIS)和实验室信息系统(LIS)中提取智能营养相关数据指标,如BMI、体重下降、进食减少、ALB、膳食医嘱等,对患者进行营养风险识别。χ2检验比较两种营养筛查与评估工具结果差异,用灵敏度、特异度、约登指数及Kappa值分析比较两种营养筛查与评估工具的评定效果。结果:采用NRS 2002筛查发现59人(28.8%)存在营养风险,同时智能营养筛选系统检测出78名患者(38%)存在营养风险。与NRS 2002相比,智能营养筛选系统的灵敏度为83%、特异性为80.1%、约登指数为0.63、Kappa为0.58。NRS 2002和智能筛查系统均与体重、体重下降、BMI、影响进食的症状存在明显相关性(P<0.01),但智能筛查系统在影响进食症状、体重下降、BMI的相关性明显优于NRS 2002。NRS 2002与智能筛查系统也存在明显的相关性(r=0.349,P<0.000)。NRS 2002<3分组较NRS 2002≥3分组的体重、BMI、TP、ALB、LY、HGB、RBC存在统计学差异(P<0.05);智能筛查系统无营养风险组与营养风险组在体重、BMI、ALB、HGB、RBC存在统计学差异(P<0.05)。结论:智能营养筛查系统的敏感性和特异性用于住院肿瘤患者尚可以被接受,可用于筛查和早期识别存在营养风险的住院肿瘤患者,但需要在更多的病种和患者中进行验证。 展开更多

BACKGROUND It was shown in previous studies that high definition endoscopy, high magnification endoscopy and image enhancement technologies, such as chromoendoscopy and digital chromoendoscopy [narrow-band imaging(NBI), iScan] facilitate the detection and classification of colonic polyps during endoscopic sessions. However, there are no comprehensive studies so far that analyze which endoscopic imaging modalities facilitate the automated classification of colonic polyps. In this work, we investigate the impact of endoscopic imaging modalities on the results of computer-assisted diagnosis systems for colonic polyp staging.AIM To assess which endoscopic imaging modalities are best suited for the computerassisted staging of colonic polyps.METHODS In our experiments, we apply twelve state-of-the-art feature extraction methods for the classification of colonic polyps to five endoscopic image databases of colonic lesions. For this purpose, we employ a specifically designed experimental setup to avoid biases in the outcomes caused by differing numbers of images per image database. The image databases were obtained using different imaging modalities. Two databases were obtained by high-definition endoscopy in combination with i-Scan technology(one with chromoendoscopy and one without chromoendoscopy). Three databases were obtained by highmagnification endoscopy(two databases using narrow band imaging and one using chromoendoscopy). The lesions are categorized into non-neoplastic and neoplastic according to the histological diagnosis.RESULTS Generally, it is feature-dependent which imaging modalities achieve high results and which do not. For the high-definition image databases, we achieved overall classification rates of up to 79.2% with chromoendoscopy and 88.9% without chromoendoscopy. In the case of the database obtained by high-magnification chromoendoscopy, the classification rates were up to 81.4%. Bacterial community succession in response to dissolved organic matter released from live jellyfish 预览

Jellyfish blooms have increased worldwide, and the outbreaks of jellyfish population not only affect the food web structures via voracious predation but also play an important role in the dynamics of nutrients and oxygen in planktonic food webs. However, it remains unclear whether specific carbon compounds released through jellyfish metabolic processes have the potential to shape bacterial community composition. Therefore, in this study, we aimed to investigate the compositional succession of the bacterioplankton community in response to the dissolved organic matter (DOM) released by the live Scyphomedusae Cyanea lamarckii and Chrysaora hysoscella collected from Helgoland Roads of the North Sea. The bacterial community was significantly stimulated by the DOM released form live jellyfish and different dominant phylotypes were observed for these two Scyphomedusae species. Furthermore, the bacterial community structures in the different DOM sources, jellyfish-incubated media, Kabeltonne seawater, and artificial seawater (DOM-free) were significantly different, as revealed by automated ribosomal intergenic spacer analysis fingerprints. Catalyzed reporter deposition fluorescence in situ hybridization (CARD-FISH) revealed a rapid species-specific shift in bacterial community composition. Gammaproteobacteria dominated the community instead of the Bacteroidetes community for C. lamarckii, whereas Gammaproteobacteria and Bacteroidetes dominated the community for C. hysoscella. The significant differences in the bacterial community composition and succession indicate that the components of the DOM released by jellyfish might differ with jellyfish species. 展开更多

Modelling of a Human Driver’s Interaction with Vehicle Automated Steering Using Cooperative Game Theory 预览

The introduction of automated driving systems raised questions about how the human driver interacts with the automated system. Non-cooperative game theory is increasingly used for modelling and understanding such interaction, while its counterpart, cooperative game theory is rarely discussed for similar applications despite it may be potentially more suitable. This paper describes the modelling of a human driver’s steering interaction with an automated steering system using cooperative game theory. The distributed Model Predictive Control approach is adopted to derive the driver’s and the automated steering system’s strategies in a Pareto equilibrium sense, namely their cooperative Pareto steering strategies. Two separate numerical studies are carried out to study the influence of strategy parameters, and the influence of strategy types on the driver’s and the automated system’s steering performance. It is found that when a driver interacts with an automated steering system using a cooperative Pareto steering strategy, the driver can improve his/her performance in following a target path through increasing his/her effort in pursuing his/her own interest under the driver-automation cooperative control goal. It is also found that a driver’s adoption of cooperative Pareto steering strategy leads to a reinforcement in the driver’s steering angle control, compared to the driver’s adoption of non-cooperative Nash strategy. This in turn enables the vehicle to return from a lane-change maneuver to straight-line driving swifter. 展开更多

Unit Test Data Generation for C Using Rule-Directed Symbolic Execution

Constraint-based test data generation is a technique for automatic generation of test data... Unit testing is widely used in software development. One important activity in unit testing is automatic test data generation. Constraint-based test data generation is a technique for automatic generation of test data, which uses symbolic execution to generate constraints. Unit testing only tests functions instead of the whole program, where individual functions typically have preconditions imposed on their inputs. Conventional symbolic execution cannot detect these preconditions, let alone converting these preconditions into constraints. To overcome these limitations, we propose a novel unit test data generation approach using rule-directed symbolic execution for dealing with functions with missing input preconditions. Rule-directed symbolic execution uses predefined rules to detect preconditions in the individual function, and generates constraints for inputs based on preconditions. We introduce implicit constraints to represent preconditions, and unify implicit constraints and program constraints into integrated constraints. Test data generated based on integrated constraints can explore previously unreachable code and help developers find more functional faults and logical faults. We have implemented our approach in a tool called CTS-IC, and applied it to real-world projects. The experimental results show that rule-directed symbolic execution can find preconditions (implicit constraints) automatically from an individual function. Moreover, the unit test data generated by our approach achieves higher coverage than similar tools and efficiently mitigates missing input preconditions problems in unit testing for individual functions. 展开更多

Power generators and chemical engineering compressors include heavy and large centrifugal impellers. To produce these impellers in high-speed machining, a 4 1/2-axis milling machine(or a 4-axis machine plus an indexing table) is often used in the industry, which is more rigid than a5-axis milling machine. Since impeller blades are designed with complex B-spline surfaces and impeller channels spaces vary significantly, it is more efficient to use multiple cutters as large as possible to cut a channel in sections and a blade surface in patches, instead of only using a small cutter to machine a whole blade and a channel. Unfortunately, no approach has been established to automatically calculate the largest diameters of cutters and their paths, which include the indexing table angles. To address this problem, an automated and optimization approach is proposed. Based on the structure of a 4?-axis machine, a geometric model for a cutter gouging/interfering the impeller is formulated, and an optimization model of the cutter diameter in terms of the indexing table angle is established at a cutter contact(CC) point on a blade surface. Then, the diameters of the tools,their orientations, and the indexing table angles are optimized, and each tool’s paths are generated for machining its corresponding impeller section. As a test, an impeller is efficiently machined with these tools section by section;thus, this approach is valid. It can be directly used in the industry to improve efficiency of machining centrifugal impellers. 展开更多

Therefore, CAV related research has been advanced significantly in recent years. This paper does a comprehensive review on five selected subjects that lie in the heart of CAV research:(i) inter-CAV communications;(ii) security of CAVs;(iii) intersection control for CAVs;(iv) collision-free navigation of CAVs;and(v)pedestrian detection and protection. It is believed that these topics are essential to ensure the success of CAVs and need to be better understood. For inter-CAV communications, this paper focuses on both Dedicated Short Range Communications(DSRC) and the future 5 G cellular technologies;for security of CAVs, this paper discusses both passive and active attacks and the existing solutions;for intersection control, this paper summarizes the pros and cons of both centralized and decentralized approaches;for collision avoidance, this paper concentrates on four subareas: maneuverability, vehicle networking, control confliction, and motorcycles;for pedestrian detection, this paper covers sensor, radar, and computer vision based approaches. Under each topic, this paper not only shows the stateof-the-art, but also unveils potential future research directions. By establishing connections among these subjects, this paper shows how they interact with each other and how they can be integrated into a seamless user experience. It is believed that the literature covered and conclusions drawn in this paper are very helpful to CAV researchers, application engineers, and policy makers. 展开更多

Automated segmentation of optical coherence tomography images

We propose a fast and accurate automated algorithm to segment retinal pigment epithelium and internal limiting membrane layers from spectral domain optical coherence tomography(SDOCT) B-scan images. A hybrid algorithm, which combines intensity thresholding and graph-based algorithms, was used to process and analyze SDOCT radial scans(120 B scans) images obtained from twenty patients. The relative difference in position of the layers segmented by the proposed hybrid algorithm and by the clinical expert was 1.49% ± 0.01%. The processing time of the hybrid algorithm was 9.3 s for six B scans. Dice’s coefficient of the hybrid algorithm was 96.7% ± 1.6%. The proposed hybrid algorithm for the segmentation of SDOCT images had good agreement with manual segmentation and reduced processing time. 展开更多

To solve the problem of small amount of machining centers in small and medium flexible manufacture systems(FMS), a scheduling mode of single automated guided vehicle(AGV) is adopted to deal with multiple transport requests in this paper. Firstly, a workshop scheduling mechanism of AGV is analyzed and a mathematical model is established using Genetic Algorithm. According to several sets of transport priority of AGV, processes of FMS are encoded, and fitness function, selection, crossover, and variation methods are designed. The transport priority which has the least impact on scheduling results is determined based on the simulation analysis of Genetic Algorithm, and the makespan, the longest waiting time, and optimal route of the car are calculated. According to the actual processing situation of the workshop, feasibility of this method is verified successfully to provide an effective solution to the scheduling problem of single AGV. 展开更多

AIM: To validate the ability of the Heidelberg Edge Perimeter (HEP) in detecting glaucomatous visual field (VF) defects compared to the Octopus Visual Field (OVF) Analyzer and to determine the test-retest repeatability of both modalities. METHODS: This prospective, cross-sectional study was conducted at Wills Eye Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. Glaucoma subjects and unaffected controls underwent VF testing using HEP standard automated perimetry (SAP) III 30-2 Adaptive Staircase Thresholding Algorithm (ASTA) FAST protocol and OVF G-TOP white-on-white strategy. Testing order was randomized. Pearson’s correlation coefficient was calculated for both mean deviation (MD) and pattern standard deviation/square root of loss of variance (PSD/sLV). Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were used to determine the diagnostic abilities of both modalities. Glaucoma subjects returned for repeat testing and intraclass correlation coefficients (ICCs) were calculated to assess test-retest repeatability. RESULTS: Seventy-nine subjects with glaucoma and 36 unaffected controls were enrolled. HEP and OVF were significantly correlated for both MD (r=-0.84;P<0.01) and PSD/sLV (r=0.79;P<0.01). Areas under the ROC curves (AUCs) were also comparable between HEP and OVF for both MD (0.74 and 0.79, respectively;P=0.26) and PSD/sLV (0.74 and 0.82;P=0.08). ICC was high for both HEP (0.96 for MD, 0.95 for PSD/sLV) and OVF (0.82 and 0.88, respectively). Mean test duration (min) was significantly shorter for OVF (2.63) compared to HEP (5.15;P<0.01). CONCLUSION: HEP and OVF show strong correlation for both MD and PSD/sLV, and have similar validity for detecting glaucoma. The test-retest repeatability is high for both HEP and OVF, however the average testing duration of HEP is significantly longer than that of OVF. 展开更多

Solder bumps realize the mechanical and electrical interconnection between chips and substrates in surface mount components,such as flip chip, wafer level packaging and three-dimensional integration. With the trend to smaller and lighter electronics,solder bumps decrease in dimension and pitch in order to achieve higher I/O density. Automated and nondestructive defect inspection of solder bumps becomes more difficult. Machine learning is a way to recognize the solder bump defects online and overcome the effect caused by the human eye-fatigue. In this paper, we proposed an automated and nondestructive X-ray recognition method for defect inspection of solder bumps. The X-ray system captured the images of the samples and the solder bump images were segmented from the sample images. Seven features including four geometric features, one texture feature and two frequency-domain features were extracted. The ensemble-ELM was established to recognize the defects intelligently. The results demonstrated the high recognition rate compared to the single-ELM. Therefore, this method has high potentiality for automated X-ray recognition of solder bump defects online and reliable. 展开更多

The idea of envelope of a family of plane curves is an elementary notion in differential geometry.As such,its implementation in dynamic geometry environments is quite universal (Cabri, The Geometer's Sketchpad,Cinderella,GeoGebra,...).Nevertheless,most of these programs return, when computing certain envelopes,both some spurious solutions and the curves that truly fit in the intuitive definition of envelope.The precise distinction between spurious and genuine parts has not been made before:This paper proposes such distinction in an algorithmic way,ready for its implementation in interactive geometry systems,allowing a finer classification of the different parts resulting from the current,advanced approach to envelope computation and,thus,yielding a more precise output,free from extraneous components. 展开更多
