绿色清洁的光催化技术可降解污染物、生产能源,是解决环境与能源问题的重要手段,但限于光催化材料成本及效率方面,难以实现大规模应用。近年来单原子光催化剂的诞生和发展为这一领域注入了新的活力,其合成、表征及应用的相关研究成为材... 绿色清洁的光催化技术可降解污染物、生产能源,是解决环境与能源问题的重要手段,但限于光催化材料成本及效率方面,难以实现大规模应用。近年来单原子光催化剂的诞生和发展为这一领域注入了新的活力,其合成、表征及应用的相关研究成为材料、化学、环境、能源等诸多领域的热点。与传统负载型光催化剂相比,单原子光催化剂表面的金属粒子的分散度达到原子尺寸,可呈现更高的催化活性和选择性,但对合成策略、表征技术和应用途径提出了更高的挑战:合成方面的主要障碍在于金属单原子的高表面能导致合成过程中的失稳团聚而丧失其单原子形态;传统的表征技术也缺乏对单原子形貌、结构及化学环境的解析能力;目前对单原子光催化剂的应用研究多为传统研究领域的延伸,未能充分利用单原子的功能特性。这些问题成为制约其发展的关键,也是该领域的研究热点。国内外学者在单原子光催化材料合成、表征和应用领域做出了巨大努力,并取得了丰硕成果:(1)合成方面,针对单原子表面能高、易团聚的问题,改进了液相合成法、原子层沉积法等传统合成策略,引进了新的高温裂解、火焰喷雾、静电自组装等技术;(2)表征方面,先进的原子尺度分析技术如球差校正高分辨透射电镜(HAADF-STEM)、X射线吸收精细结构谱(XAFs)等以及密度泛函理论(DFT)的发展则有助于深入理解孤立金属单原子形态及化学结构;(3)单原子光催化剂目前已被成功应用于光解水制氢、光催化CO2还原、环境污染物降解以及合成氨等领域,获得了长足的发展。上述成果推进了光催化材料及催化理论的研究向原子级别深入,使其进一步贴近实用化。本文综述了近年来单原子光催化剂的合成方法、表征技术以及在环境和能源领域的应用情况。同时,总结了目前单原子光催化材料研究中存在的 展开更多

Impact of built environment on physical activity and obesity among children and adolescents in China:A narrative systematic review

Background: Neighborhood built environment may profoundly influence children’s physical activity(PA) and body weight. This study systematically reviewed scientific evidence regarding the impact of built environment on PA and obesity among children and adolescents in China.Methods: A keyword and reference search was conducted in Active Living Research, Cochrane Library, PubMed, and Web of Science. Studies that met all of the following criteria were included in the review:(1) study designs-experimental studies, observational studies, and qualitative studies;(2) study subjects-Chinese children and/or adolescents aged≤ 17 years;(3) exposures-neighborhood built environment;(4)outcomes-PA and/or body weight status;(5) article type-peer-reviewed publications;(6) time window of search-from the inception of an electronic bibliographic database to May 31, 2018;(7) country-China;and(8) language-articles written in English.Results: A total of 20 studies, including 16 cross-sectional studies, 3 longitudinal studies, and 1 descriptive study, met the predetermined selection criteria and were included in the review. A total of 13 studies adopted subjective built environment measures reported by parents and/or children, 2 adopted objective measures(e.g., geographical information system, field observations), and 5 adopted both objective and subjective measures. PA behaviors included PA, physical inactivity, sedentary behavior, active/passive commuting from/to school, and park visits. Among the 16 studies that provided some quantitative estimates of the influence of built environment on PA and body weight status, all reported a statistically significant relationship in the expected direction. Availability and accessibility in proximity to greenspaces, parks, recreational facilities,and sidewalks were found to be associated with increased PA levels, reduced sedentary behaviors, and/or active commuting among Chinese children and adolescents. In that context, domestic, agricultural and industrial environments produce organic waste, which needs to be collected, selected, stored and recycled properly in order to avoid environmental pollution and promote agriculture. The green Industry proposed involves the conversion of natural, non-toxic organic waste in order to efficiently produce organic fertilizers for agriculture. These types of fertilizers from biological origin are suitable because they are not toxic for human and the environment. Enzymatic reactions described in this presentation concern mainly the hydrolysis of proteins, sugars and lipids, the acidification of intermediate products from hydrolysis, the formation of acetate, and the production of methane. In other words, this review is timely as it discusses for the chemical behavior or the reactivity of different functional groups to better understand the enzymatic catalysis in the transformations of residual proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids to generate biomethane and fertilizers. In the same perspective, this review is to enrich the documentation related to organic reactions catalyzed by enzymes, which occur in the anaerobic degradation of residual organic substances, with emphasis on the structures of organic compounds and reaction mechanisms. This will allow understanding the displacement of the electrons of a reactive entity rich in electrons to another reactive entity that is poor in electrons to form new bonds in products. 展开更多

Detailed characterization of the outcropping sediments in the Ikpankwu and Ihube axis was undertaken to validate lithostratigraphic boundaries and nomenclatures which had stirred up debates amongst scholars in recent times. Stochastic method established dominant facies associations and preferred stacking patterns, which were used to interpret environments of deposition (EODs), while foraminiferal and palynological analyses fingerprinted both paleo depths and age of the sediments. The results established the dominance of similar lithofacies at the basal parts of both sections indicating mappable geological units and members of the same lithostratigraphic unit. The basal lithofacies are succeeded up section, however, by different lithological units in both the KM 75 and Ikpankwu sections. Interpretations of EODs using lithofacies successions predicted fluvial to tidally-influenced shallow marine deposits, which are environments in close affinity with each other. Interpretations using abundance and diversity of micro fauna supported non-marine (coastal-deltaic) to middle neritic paleo-water depths also, typical of marginal to shallow marine EODs. Recovered foraminiferal assemblages in the shale samples from the upper parts of both sections, however, depicted deposits of Nsukka Formation despite variations observed in lithofacies assemblages because the identified Haplophragmoides species that populate the upper units had been used to define the Late Maastrichtian-Paleocene age. Sediments at the basal parts with mappable lithological units at both sections were rather populated by species that connote the Campanian-Maastrichtian age when the Mamu Formation sediments were deposited. Palynomorphs recovered from both the basal and upper sections also suggested Campanian-Maastrichtian and Late Maastrichtian-Paleocene age, indicative of Mamu and Nsukka Formation sediments, respectively. 展开更多

In the current real life, systems theory is an abstract background of systems thinking,which is a part of systemic behavior. The systemic behavior is the alternative to the currently prevailing one-sidedness that puts all of humankind in danger of self-destruction due to the crucial over-sights(all the way to world wars) that unavoidably result from the current over-specialization(along with crucial, but partial insights), if the specialists fail to practice creative interdisciplinary cooperation.This contribution is a next phase of research after the contributions by Matja? Mulej, Zdenka ?enko and Viktor ?akelj(2017) and by Matja? Mulej, et al.(2013). Although the abstract background and thinking that the systemic behavior applies, are very necessary, theory and thinking are no longer enough for systems science to be a relevant science and practice helping humankind find the way out from the current blind alley and survive as a healthy civilization with a healthy social and natural environment. The suggestion in this contribution therefore reads: Let us systems and cybernetics scientists make/enable the transition to systemic behavior, which applies all the many theories, which are components in the background of systemic behavior in practice, next to each other and/or in synergy. Analysis, i.e., studying per isolated parts is too overlooking and one-sided to be enough. So is teaching on a single one out of several systems theories. Reality is too complex. Teaching is a part of this necessary effort, which must lead to a global peace and survival of humankind of today instead of the current hating the human descendants. 展开更多

In recent years, global warming, drought and little rain, forest fires, forest destruction and other human disturbances have had an important impact on the habitat environment of birds, affecting the number and quality of bird habitats, directly threatening the survival and reproduction of birds, leading to a sharp decline in the diversity of bird species. In this study, the PKK National Park (18&#17614' - 18&#17632'N;102&#17638' - 102&#17659'E), Laos was used as a research site. The birds and their habitats in the park were used as research objects. The species, quantity and distribution of birds were investigated. In addition, the distribution of vegetation and the relationship between bird’s community and habitat types in PKK National Park were studied. Species diversity and Abundance of birds at PKK National Park, was monthly assessed by point count method between January and December 2018. A total of 117 species of birds belonging to 43 families and 18 orders were found in the inspection areas. Among them, Passerine birds (60 species) and Non-Finches (57 species) were almost equal to each other, accounting for 51.3% and 48.7% of total birds species respectively. Again, Anseriformes birds account for the largest number amongst Non-Passeriformes, reaching 15 species, followed by Falconiformes, accounting for 20.5% of total. On the other hand, based on migratory habits, resident birds were found to be highest in our research site which account for 35.04% of total birds and followed by Summer Migratory birds (32.28%), Passage Migrant (23.93%) and Winter Migratory birds (6.83%). Through the quantitative measurement and analysis of various parameters, the focus is on the diversity of birds and species in the park. Further, the factors that can affect species diversity, especially the bird’s survival factors such as vegetation change pattern, transformation rate of green areas, recruitment and restoration pattern of wild animals, especially birds, and other beneficial animal populations were also emphasized in 展开更多

Assessing Water and Soil Pollution Due to Uttara EPZ, Nilphamari, Bangladesh 预览

Water is the most important source of dome... The Uttara Export Processing Zone (UEPZ) is being the important industrial belt of the northern region. It is an important issue to find out the environmental impact of UEPZ. Water is the most important source of domestic, irrigation and industrial purpose in both rural and urban regions. The present study was carried out to find out the water and soil quality of UEPZ. Five heavy metals were selected (Fe, Cu, Mn, Pb, Cr) to assess water quality of UEPZ and two indices such as heavy metal pollution index (HPI) and contamination index (Cd) were selected to evaluate the impact on water. The results showed that the concentrations of heavy metals in water samples were within the permissible limits of WHO drinking water quality. HPI of water samples in three sites was 20.57 which was lower than 100 the critical value for drinking water. Both results show the region is moderately or slightly polluted. Pollution risks of heavy metal in the soil were evaluated by method of geological acumination index (Igeo) and Pollution load index (PLI) for seven soil samples. The geological evaluation of the cumulative index results showed that the contamination degree of 4 heavy metals follows the sequence of Mn > Zn > Fe > Cu. Then the results of PLI of seven soil sample are 1.474 > 1.398 > 1.372 > 1.308 > 1.302 > 1.290 > 1.289. Both results show the soil sample area were unpolluted to moderately polluted. Finally, an overall impact of UEPZs environment is also discussed in this paper. 展开更多

Background:With an increase in the evidence for the associations between park-based physical activity(PA)and physical environments(especially park and neighborhood environments),researchers face an important challenge in interpreting and summarizing the evidence to develop environ?mental change interventions.An updated review is needed to better inform policymaking and environmental interventions.The current study aimed to systematically review the research on the associations of park-based PA with park and neighborhood environmental characteristics.Methods:We targeted English peer-reviewed articles from 5 electronic databases using keywords related to park-based PA,park environments,and neighborhood environments.Of the 4071 identified papers,25 studies published between 2008 and 2016 met all the eligibility criteria and were included in this review.Results:The characteristics of physical environment that received consistent support included paths/trails,lighting,and incivilities(e.g.,broken glasses and litter).Mixed findings were revealed for 6 park environmental factors(unspecified active facilities,playgrounds and skating areas,fit?ness stations,picnic areas,greenness,and park size)and 2 neighborhood environmental factors(park density and park proximity).Conclusion:It can be concluded that paths/trails,lighting,and incivilities are 3 key physical environmental attributes of park-based PA.Given the inconsistent findings on park and neighborhood environmental factors,more robust designs such as prospective investigation are required. 展开更多

Therefore, awareness and education in the field of environmental ethics can have a spiritual guarantee in the light of faith and piety;considering the religious teachings and the experiences of the executives and officials of the Islamic Revolution that become more colorful topics such as environmental justice, environmental ethics, environmental degradation, health and optimal consumption. The expansion of morality is considered to be in the context of human-environmental relations as a revolutionary opportunity and an environmental imperative. In fact, the interests of man are in balance with the interests of other beings;as a result, there are solutions to protect the inhumane community against human harm. In this project, we used of library methods, review and integration on the basis of articles and environmental studies. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between religious beliefs and revolutionary approaches to the environment and environmental ethics. The mentioned verses and narratives, the leadership’s recommendations all emphasize on environmental protection;and authorities have done this knowledge and information in the best way to raise the level of education. The results of the research show the upward trend in the environment after the Islamic Revolution in the process of approving and drafting laws. 展开更多

The natural environment provides material essentials for human survival and development. The characteristics,processes, regional differentiation and forcing mechanisms of the elements of the natural environment(e.g. g... The natural environment provides material essentials for human survival and development. The characteristics,processes, regional differentiation and forcing mechanisms of the elements of the natural environment(e.g. geomorphology,climate, hydrology, soil, etc.) are the main objects of research in physical geography. China has a complex natural environment and huge regional differentiation and therefore it provides outstanding reserach opportunities in physical geography. This review summarizes the most important developments and the main contributions of research in the physical geography and human living environment in China during the past 70 years. The major topics addressed are the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau and the evolution of its cryosphere, the development of fluvial systems, the acidification of the vast arid region of the Asian interior, variations in the monsoon and westerly climate systems on multiple timescales, the development of lakes and wetlands, the watershed system model, soil erosion, past human-environment interactions, biogeography, and physical geographic zonality. After briefly introducing international research developments, we review the history of research in physical geography in China, focusing on the major achievements and major academic debates, and finally we summarize the status of current research and the future prospects. We propose that in the context of the national demand for the construction of an ecological civilization, we should make full use of the research findings of physical geography, and determine the patterns and mechanisms of natural environmental processes in order to continue to promote the continued contribution of physical geography to national development strategies, and to further contribute to the theory of physical geography from a global perspective. 展开更多

Twenty accessions of African Yam Bean, grown at the Teaching and Research Farm of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso during the cropping seasons of May to November, 2014 and 2015 were assessed for genetic diversity and Genotype × Environment interaction effects on trait performance and their ability to produce tuber. The first six Principal Components jointly explained 70.30% of the total variation among the accessions. Vine length, branching pattern, pod number, pod length, seed number, and seed yield contributed mostly to the observed variations. Seed biometric traits were most variable and contributed 52% of total variation. Variance due to genotype accounted for 54.2%, environment 10.5% and G × E interaction accounted for 30.1% of the interaction sum of squares. Accessions, G2, G4, G47, G49 and G50 produced tubers, while accessions G6, G15, G31, G32 and G33 nodulated extensively. Conversely, there was a marginal reduction in seed yield in accessions that either produced tubers or nodules. 展开更多

In this study, indoor quality and environmental comfort were investigated in secondaiy school buildings located in the State of Kuwait. Comfort variables such as temperature and relative humidity (thermal comfort), noise (acoustic comfort), illumination (visual comfort), as well as allocated classroom floor area per student (spatial comfort) were measured. Data was collected over a 7-month period on a spot basis during school hours in student-occupied classrooms at 46 selected schools. The measured data was then compared to international guidelines and standards related to indoor environment quality. The data for noise and allocated space were shown to be in the comfort ranges in all the schools. However, 11% of the schools are not adequately illuminated, 33% had temperatures not within the recommended limits, and 22% of the schools had humidity levels either higher or lower than the recommended levels. Also, 9% of the schools had low illummation readings. In addition, during the data monitoring, a survey was conducted by which the student occupants completed a questionnaire so that subjective and objective evaluations could be compared. The findings of the questionnaire displayed significant correlations between the measured data and some ailments and other corr^laints experienced by the students. Ultimately, the results found in this research will provide a baseHne for comparison with future indoor environment quality assessments in buildings. Furthermore, recommendations are suggested in order to improve the environmental quality problems encountered in some of the schools, which may be beneficial for policymakers, facilities managers, and design engineers. 展开更多

A growing increase in the world’s population and a gradual decline in poverty necessitate a search for new sources of protein in order to guarantee food security. Aquaculture has been identified as a potential sector capable of meeting the requirements for increased protein production without making excessive demands on the ecosystem. Although water makes up 70% of the earth’s surface, aquaculture cannot feasibly be practised everywhere;it requires a unique set of natural, social and economic resources to be managed in an environmentally responsible way. Finding suitable sites for aquaculture is becoming an ever increasing problem in the development of the sector as precautions need to be taken in setting up sites to ensure appropriate environmental characteristics exist and that good water quality can be maintained. Additionally, the effects of aquaculture on coastal and inland resources must be clearly determined to implement policies and regulatory frameworks to control its impact. Marine cage farming is gaining momentum, specifically in the Mediterranean and Black Sea coastal regions. For these sites to be further developed there is a need to minimize the effects on the environment and conflicts with other coastal users. To this aim the concept of allocated zones for aquaculture (AZA) is being adopted to provide specific areas for marine aquaculture to avoid environmental degradation. When choosing an (AZA) suitable site, it is vital to calculate ‘carrying capacity’ to reduce the risks and to protect the marine ecosystems. In this study the MERAMOD model was used to investigate the carrying capacity of marine fish farms. Modelling offers the possibility to simulate and predict the environmental impact of fish farms. 展开更多

This study aims to explore the role of spatial heterogeneity in ridership analysis and examine the relationship between built environment, station attributes and urban rapid transit ridership at the station level.Although spatial heterogeneity has been widely acknowledged in spatial data analysis, it has been rarely considered in travel behavior studies.Four models(three global models-ordinary least squares(OLS), spatial lag model(SLM), spatial error model(SEM) and one local model-geographically weighted regression(GWR) model) are estimated separately to explore the relationship between various independent variables and station ridership, and identify the influence of spatial heterogeneity.Using the data of built environment and station characteristics, the results of diagnostic identify evidence the existence of spatial heterogeneity in station ridership for the metro network in Nanjing, China.Results of comparing the various goodness-of-fit indicators show that, the GWR model yields the best fit of the data, performance followed by the SEM, SLM and OLS model.The results also demonstrate that population, number of lines, number of feeder buses, number of exits, road density and proportion residential area have a significant impact on station ridership.Moreover, the study pays special attention to the spatial variation in the coefficients of the independent variables and their statistical significance.It underlines the importance of taking spatial heterogeneity into account in the station ridership analysis and the decision-making in urban planning. 展开更多
