目的:分析硬皮病、瘢痕疙瘩与硬化萎缩性苔藓患者LIGHT及其受体LTβR、HVEM病理生理学意义的差异性。方法:选取2015年4月-2018年4月在笔者医院接受治疗并确诊为瘢痕疙瘩、硬化萎缩性苔藓和硬皮病的患者标本共60例,其中瘢痕疙瘩19例,硬皮... 目的:分析硬皮病、瘢痕疙瘩与硬化萎缩性苔藓患者LIGHT及其受体LTβR、HVEM病理生理学意义的差异性。方法:选取2015年4月-2018年4月在笔者医院接受治疗并确诊为瘢痕疙瘩、硬化萎缩性苔藓和硬皮病的患者标本共60例,其中瘢痕疙瘩19例,硬皮病21例,硬化萎缩性苔藓20例,选取同期在笔者医院行整形手术的正常皮肤标本20例,免疫组化检测硬化萎缩性苔藓、瘢痕疙瘩、硬皮病及正常皮肤组织内LIGHT及其受体HVEM、LTβR表达状况。结果:正常皮肤组织真皮中能够看到微量表达的HVEM、LTβR,LIGHT在病变中是阴性;硬化萎缩性苔藓、瘢痕疙瘩及硬皮病患者真皮内均可看到LIGHT与其受体HVEM、LTβR蛋白表达,其主要表达于炎性细胞、成纤维细胞与血管内皮细胞包膜上,细胞膜为棕黄色或黄色;硬化萎缩性苔藓组、瘢痕疙瘩组及硬皮病组患者皮肤组织内HVEM、LTβR和LIGHT光密度值均高于正常组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论:硬化萎缩性苔藓、瘢痕疙瘩及硬皮病起病与进展中可能有LIGHT及其受体HVEM、LTβR参与,但具体路径和参与形式仍需进一步探究。 展开更多

Fluoride-based thulium-doped visible light fiber amplifier(TmVLFA), which can be used to amplify the blue light signal for a visible light communication(VLC) system,is theoretically demonstrated for the first time according to the best of our knowledge. The transition rate equations and power propagation equations are solved to predict the dependence of the gain and noise figure on fiber parameters. The numerical results show that with the pump wavelength 1150 nm and pump power 800 mW, 2.75 m long thulium-doped fiber can amplify blue light(480 nm) signal up to 33.3 dB, and the noise figure is in the range from 3.0 to 3.5 dB. The model and numerical results encourage the use of fiber amplifier in VLC system for blue light amplification to extend the range of VLC. 展开更多

Catalyst containing shape selective zeolite is used to investigate the catalytic cracking characteristics of palm oil and three types of hydrocarbon VGOs on a fixed fluidized bed(FFB) unit. The advantage of producing light olefins and light aromatics by catalytic cracking of plant oil is discussed. Results indicate that the hydrocarbyl group of the plant oil molecule is quite readily crackable;the C6-C8 aromatics yield is well above and the light olefins yield is about the same with the hydrocarbon feeds, while the yields of low value products are lower;the hydrocarbyl group of the plant oil molecule has strong tendency of aromatization, and can enter the zeolite pores to selectively form C6-C8 aromatics;during catalytic cracking of plant oil and fatty acids, a portion of the oxygen is removed in the form of water through hydrogen transfer reaction, while olefins are prevented from being saturated, which can ensure proper yields of both low-carbon olefins and light aromatics. 展开更多

Introduction:A new way of converting light radiation is based on the assumption that it is possible for fullerene C60 molecules to influence it.Physical calculations indicate that in this case there are prerequisites for changing the configuration of the quantum-wave structure of the light flux(hyperharmonization).Our previous studies revealed a possibility of obtaining biological responses to the light reorganized by fullerene.We investigated the effect of application of hyperharmonized light through the organ of vision on the neural structures of the brain associated with it.Transformation of the light was created by using glasses with fullerene filters(THE■-glasses).The purpose of this work was to establish whether the light that passed through the fullerene-containing filters installed in glasses affects mental performance of a person;in particular,the speed and quality of performing visual-motor tasks similar to those performed by a person using a computer.Methods:We selected eighteen clinically healthy volunteer participants of both sexes aged from 10 to 78 years with computer skills.In the study we used specially made glasses,the filters of which contained 0.33‰of fullerene in polymethylmethacrylate(Tesla Hyperlight Eyewear■;THE■-glasses),as well as glasses with darkened filters and a frame of similar design(placebo).The spectrum of light that came into the eyes of the participant was natural(intact light,control)or with a weakened blue spectrum,the wave range of which started from~420 nm(fullerene light,placebo light).The participants’mental performance was assessed according to the results of specially designed tests:black-white and color tests of digital sorting and the correction test(simple and of increased complexity).Testing was conducted in 3 series:without glasses in natural light(intact light),in glasses with fullerene-containing filters(fullerene light)and in glasses of similar light transmission,but without fullerene(placebo light).The quality control of tests and the calculation of p 展开更多

Lycopene, one of the strongest natural antioxidants known and the main carotene in ripe tomato, is very important for human health. Light is well known to be one of the most important environmental stimuli influencing lycopene biosynthesis;specifically, red light induces higher lycopene content in tomato. However, whether blue light promotes lycopene synthesis remains elusive and exactly how light stimulation promotes lycopene synthesis remains unclear. We applied supplemental blue and red lighting on tomato plants at anthesis to monitor the effect of supplemental blue and red lighting on lycopene synthesis. Our results showed that supplemental blue/red lighting induced higher lycopene content in tomato fruits;furthermore, we found that the expression of key genes in the lycopene synthesis pathway was induced by supplemented blue/red light. The expression of light signaling components, such as red-light receptor phytochromes(PHYs), blue-light receptor cryptochromes(CRYs) and light interaction factors, phytochrome-interacting factors(PIFs) and ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL 5(HY5) were up-or down-regulated by blue/red lighting. Thus, blue and red light increased lycopene content in tomatoes by inducing light receptors that modulate HY5 and PIFs activation to mediate phytoene synthase 1(PSY1) gene expression. These results provide a sound theoretical basis for further elucidation of the light regulating mechanism of lycopene synthesis in tomatoes, and for instituting a new generation of technological innovations for the enhancement of lycopene accumulation in crop production. 展开更多

Twisted optical communications using orbital angular momentum

Angular momentum,a fundamental physical quantity,can be divided into spin angular momentum(SAM)and orbital angular momentum(OAM)in electromagnetic waves.Helically-phased or twisted light beams carrying OAM that exploit the spatial structure physical dimension of electromagnetic waves have benefited wide applications ranging from optical manipulation to quantum information processing.Using the two distinct properties of OAM,i.e.,inherent orthogonality and unbounded states in principle,one can develop OAM modulation and OAM multiplexing techniques for twisted optical communications.OAM multiplexing is an alternative space-division multiplexing approach employing an orthogonal mode basis related to the spatial phase structure.In this paper,we review the recent progress in twisted optical communications using OAM in free space and fiber.The basic concept of momentum,angular momentum,SAM,OAM and OAM-carrying twisted optical communications,key techniques and devices of OAM generation/(de)multiplexing/detection,high-capacity spectrally-efficient free-space OAM links,fiber-based OAM links,and OAM processing functions are presented.Ultra-high spectral efficiency and petabit-scale freespace data links are achieved benefiting from OAM multiplexing.The key techniques and challenges of twisted optical communications are also discussed.Twisted optical communications using OAM are compatible with other existing physical dimensions such as frequency/wavelength,amplitude,phase,polarization and time,opening a possible way to facilitate continuous increase of the aggregate transmission capacity and spectral efficiency through N-dimensional multiplexing. 展开更多

In this work, three common monosaccharides, glucose, galactose and mannose, are employed to investigate the effect of monosaccharide on the self-assembly of benzenetricarboxamide(BTA) core-containing molecules. In the presence of monosaccharides, three benzenetricarboxamide derivatives aggregate into different ordered structures. When alanine linkers are introduced to these molecules between the core and the monosacchride, morphologies of three types of monosaccharide BTAs turned to disordered, meanwhile their structures become similar with the increase of the length of alanine linkers, indicating the disappearance of the monosaccharide effects. 展开更多

为研究醉马草(Achnatherum inebrians)种群繁殖和环境适应机理,本研究从甘肃榆中(YZ)和内蒙古阿拉善(Alxa)采集的两个醉马草种群的种子作为试验材料,研究不同温度(10℃/20℃、15℃/25℃和20℃/30℃变温12h/12h)、光照(完全光照和完全黑... 为研究醉马草(Achnatherum inebrians)种群繁殖和环境适应机理,本研究从甘肃榆中(YZ)和内蒙古阿拉善(Alxa)采集的两个醉马草种群的种子作为试验材料,研究不同温度(10℃/20℃、15℃/25℃和20℃/30℃变温12h/12h)、光照(完全光照和完全黑暗)以及PEG浓度(0、-0.3、-0.6和-0.9MPa)共同作用对两种醉马草种子发芽率、发芽指数、胚根和胚芽长的影响。结果表明,在一定的渗透胁迫范围内(-0.6和-0.9Mpa),温度对醉马草种子萌发有显著影响,15℃/25℃条件下,各水分处理的两种醉马草的发芽率、发芽指数、胚根长和胚芽长均达到最大值,该温度为醉马草的最适萌发温度;光照对两种醉马草种子的发芽率和发芽指数没有显著影响;在同一温度条件下,两种醉马草的发芽率、发芽指数、胚芽长均随着PEG浓度的升高而减小,且均与无菌水对照差异显著(P<0.05);与YZ醉马草种子相比,Alxa醉马草种子萌发的速度和整齐度较好,种子的活力较强。因此,无论是在光照、温度或水分胁迫条件下,Alxa醉马草与YZ醉马草相比更具有较强的抗逆性和适应性,可作为醉马草繁殖扩散和开发利用的优良草种。 展开更多

Four-dimensional (4D) printing is an emerging and highly innovative additive manufacturing process by which to fabricate pre-designed,self-assembly structures with the ability to transform over time.However,one of the critical challenges of 4D printing is the lack of advanced 4D printing systems that not only meet all the essential requirements of shape change but also possess smart,dynamic capabilities to spatiotemporally and instantly control the shape-transformation process.Here,we present a facile 4D printing platform which incorporates nanomaterials into the conventional stimuli-responsive polymer,allowing the 4D printed object to achieve a dynamic and remote controlled,on-time and position shape transformation.A proof-of-concept 4D printed brain model was created using near-infrared light (NIR) responsive nanocomposite to evaluate the capacity for controllable 4D transformation,and the feasibility of photothermal stimulation for modulating neural stem cell behaviors.This novel 4D printing strategy can not only be used to create dynamic 3D patterned biological structures that can spatiotemporally control their shapes or behaviors of transformation under a human benign stimulus (NIR),but can also provide a potential method for building complex self-morphing objects for widespread applications. 展开更多

Besides the pairing interaction, it is observed that the quadurpole-quadurpole and particlehole interactions also play a significant role in determining the relative positions of low-lying excited 0^+ and 1^+ levels and their energy gaps, which can result in the ground state first-order quantum phase transition from J = 0 to J = 1.The strengths of the isovector and isoscalar pairing interactions in these even-even nuclei are estimated with respect to the energy gap and the total contribution to the binding energy. Most importantly, it is shown that although the mechanism of the particle-hole contribution to the binding energy is different, it is indirectly related to the Wigner term in the binding energy. 展开更多

Astigmatic correction with implantation of a light adjustable vs monofocal lens: a single site analysis of a randomized controlled trial

AIM: To evaluate the light adjustable lens (LAL) vs a standard monofocal lens in achieving target astigmatic refraction and improving postoperative uncorrected distance visual acuity (UDVA).METHODS: This randomized controlled clinical trial included 40 patients with pre-existing astigmatism and visually significant cataract. Twenty-eight patients received the LAL and 12 control patients received a monofocal intraocular lens (IOL) after cataract extraction at a single institution. The patients with the LAL underwent adjustment by ultraviolet (UV) light postoperatively plus subsequent lock-in procedures and all patients returned to clinic for follow up of study parameters at 6, 9, and 12mo. Manifest refraction, distance visual acuity, and adverse events were recorded at each visit. RESULTS: The mean cylinder before adjustment in eyes with the LAL was -0.89±0.58 D (-2.00 to 0.00 D) and -0.34±0.34 D (-1.25 to 0.00 D) after lock-in (P=1.68×10^-8). The mean cylinder in patients with the monofocal lens was -1.00±0.32 D (-1.50 to -0.50 D) at 17-21d postoperatively, which was statistically different from the LAL cylinder post lock-in (P=1.43×10^-6). UDVA in the LAL group was 20/20 or better in 79% of patients post lock-in with good stability over 12mo compared with 33% of the control patients with UDVA of 20/20 or better.CONCLUSION: These results demonstrate that the LAL is more effective in achieving target refractions and improving postoperative UDVA in patients with pre-existing corneal astigmatism than a standard monofocal lens. 展开更多

We studied dynamics of the activity of the default networks as the human large scale brain networks in response to the ocular influence of light,which was nano-modified with a fullerene filter.We examined 7 volunteers(4 males and 3 females)aged from 18 to 22 years without health complaints,right-handers,students.The ocular pathway of the light influence was provided by the use of glasses with fullerene(C60)filters(Zepter Tesla LightWear,0.3‰in polymethylmethacrylate organic glass,2 mm thick),for placebo we used glasses in a similar frame with a filter similar in the light range but not containing fullerene.For EEG recording and analysis,we used the Neuron-Spectrum-4/VP complex(NeuroSoft).The recording was carried out in monopolar way,with a quantization frequency of 500 Hz,the electrodes were arranged according to the international system 10-20 in 19 leads.In each lead,the power spectral density was calculated for all EEG frequency ranges according to the Neuron-Spectrum program.Statistical analysis was performed by using Statistica 8.0(StatSoft,USA).As a result of the study,we obtained significant differences(as compared with placebo)of the electrical activity of the human brain(EEG)under the influence of light transmitted through a fullerene filter.Changes in the delta and theta ranges indicated changes in the state of the default networks,since they are characterized by low-frequency of EEG oscillations.Reduced EEG activity in the alpha range in the right frontal zone indicated an increase in interregional synchronization involving figurative information in the processes of internal thinking.Increased EEG activity in the delta range in the temporal zone indicated activation of the imaging modeling processes of the future,and reduced EEG activity in the in the posterior temporal area indicated a decrease of attention to internal processes,i.e.relaxing.Increased EEG activity in the theta range in the posterior singular cortex testified to the intensification the processes of introspective emotional experience 展开更多
