Amine-basedcarbon-capture technologies have been shown to be energetically expensive and to cause significant environmental and epidemiological impacts due to their volatility.Bicarbonate formation from carbon dioxide’s reaction with water has been suggested as an effective alternative for capturing CO2;however,the thermodynamics of this reaction are not well understood.This study experimentally determined the equilibrium constant of sodium bicarbonate(Na HCO3)decomposition to sodium,water,and carbon dioxide;the study also compared the equilibrium constant to theoretical calculations.Using a combination of experimentation and thermodynamic relationships,the unitless equilibrium constants of the forward and reverse reactions were calculated accurately(error<±9%and<±4%,respectively).Equilibrium data were calculated using enthalpy and entropy values of each component of Na HCO3decomposition at temperatures ranging from 25 to 155°C respectively.These results offer more data essential to optimizing Na HCO3use in environmentally friendly nextgeneration CO2-capture technologies. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Mucosal healing has become a therapeutic goal to achieve stable remission in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases. To achieve this objective, overlapping actions of complex cellular processes, such as migration, proliferation, and differentiation, are required. These events are longitudinally and tightly controlled by numerous factors including a wide range of distinct regulatory proteins. However, the sequence of events associated with colon mucosal repair after colitis and the evolution of the luminal content characteristics during this process have been little studied.AIM To document the evolution of colon mucosal characteristics during mucosal healing using a mouse model with chemically-induced colitis.METHODS C57 BL/6 male mice were given 3.5% dextran sodium sulfate(DSS) in drinking water for 5 d. They were euthanized 2(day 7), 5(day 10), 8(day 13), and 23(day28) d after DSS removal. The colonic luminal environment and epithelial repair processes during the inflammatory flare and colitis resolution were analyzed with reference to a non-DSS treated control group, euthanized at day 0. Epithelial repair events were assessed histo-morphologically in combination with functional permeability tests, expression of key inflammatory and repairing factors, and evaluation of colon mucosa-adherent microbiota composition by 16 S rRNA sequencing.RESULTS The maximal intensity of colitis was concomitant with maximal alterations of intestinal barrier function and histological damage associated with goblet cell depletion in colon mucosa. It was recorded 2 d after termination of the DSStreatment, followed by a progressive return to values similar to those of control mice. Objective: To study the effects of parecoxib + dexmedetomidine on systemic inflammation and oxidative stress during anesthesia recovery period of thoracoscopic surgery. Methods:The lung cancer patients undergoing thoracoscopic surgery in Kailuan General Hospital between March 2015 and February 2018 were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into the experimental group who received parecoxib + dexmedetomidine preemptive analgesia combined with conventional anesthesia and the control group who received conventional anesthesia. 3 and 5 d after surgery, serum was collected to measure the contents of inflammatory cytokines interferon-γ (IFN-γ), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), interleukin-18 (IL-18), intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM1) and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP1) as well as oxidative stress mediators cortisol (COR), malondialdehyde (MDA), endothelin-1 (ET-1), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and total antioxidant capacity (T-AOC), and peripheral anticoagulant blood was collected to measure the expressions of inflammatory signaling molecules Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), NOD-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3), nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB), apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing CARD (ASC) and cysteinyl aspartate specific proteinase-1 (caspase-1) as well as oxidative stress molecules nuclear factor E2-related factor 2 (NRF2), antioxidant response element (ARE), NADPH oxidase (NOX) 2 and NOX4. Results: 3 and 5 d after surgery, serum IFN-γ, IL-1β, IL-18, ICAM1, MCP1, COR, MDA and ET-1 contents as well as peripheral blood TLR4, NLRP3, NF-κB, ASC, Caspase-1, NRF2, ARE, NOX2 and NOX4 expression intensity of the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group whereas serum SOD and T-AOC contents were higher than those of the control group. The effects of amphiphilic O/W emulsions,stabilized by the alkyl polyglycoside(APG)or cholesterol-grafted sodium alginate(CSAD)/APG systems,on lambda-cyhalothrin adsorption/desorption mechanisms on natural soil minerals(i.e.,illite and kaolinite)were investigated.Sorption and desorption of lambda-cyhalothrin onto soil minerals was studied via batch equilibration to give insight into the adsorption equilibrium,kinetics,and thermodynamics of lambda-cyhalothrin adsorption onto minerals.The results indicate the following:(i)The adsorption processes for the APG system and CSAD/APG system include:rapid adsorption,slow adsorption,and adsorption equilibrium.The adsorption kinetics of pesticide on illite and kaolinite are in accordance with the Ho and McKay model,and the adsorption isotherm conforms to the Freundlich model.In addition,the adsorption processes of pesticide for the two systems on minerals were spontaneous and feasible(ΔG0<0),endothermic(ΔH0>0),and mainly involved chemical bonding(ΔH0>60).(ii)The equilibrium adsorption percentages of the pesticide on illite for the APG system and CSAD/APG system were 42.4%and 64.8%,and the corresponding equilibrium adsorption percentages on kaolinite were 40.8%and 61.8%,respectively.Moreover,the pesticide adsorption rate K2-CSAD/APGwas faster than K2-APG,and its adsorption capacity Kf-CSAD/APG was greater than Kf-APG.Meanwhile,the pesticide desorption Kfdin the CSAD/APG system was smaller than that in the APG system.As a result,this eco-friendly O/W emulsion based on amphiphilic sodium alginate derivatives might provide a green pesticide formulation,since it could reduce the amount of lambda-cyhalothrin entering aquatic systems to threaten non-target fish and invertebrate species. 展开更多

Pantoprazole sodium, a substituted benzimidazole derivative, is an irreversible proton pump inhibitor which is primarily used for the treatment of duodenal ulcers, gastric ulcers, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). The monographs of European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.) and United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) specify six impurities, viz.;impurities A, B, C, D, E and F, respectively for its active pharmaceutical ingredient (API). The identification and synthesis of all impurities except impurity E are well described in the literature;however, there is no report related to impurity E. The prospects to the formation and controlling of impurity E up to -0.03% in the synthesis of pantoprazole sodium sesquihydrate (PAN) were discussed in detail for the first time. The present work described the journey towards the successful development of an optimal preparation procedure of dimer impurity E. Significant enhancement in water resistance of Pd/Al2O3 catalyst for benzene oxidation by Na addition

A series of Na-doped 1 wt% Pd/Al2O3 catalysts with different Na loadings were prepared by wet impregnation and tested for the catalytic oxidation of benzene. Suitable addition of Na had a remarkable promotion effect on water resistance and enhancement of low temperature activity of Pd/Al2O3 catalysts. The optimal mole ratio between Na and Pd was 1:1. The properties of the prepared catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Brunauer Emmett Teller (BET), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), O2-temperature-programmed desorption (O2-TPD), and in situ DRIFTS. Results indicated that the addition of Na not only decreased the content of adsorbed water species but also increased the amount of liable surface oxygen species, which are likely the key factors for the excellent water resistance of the catalyst. Na addition also improved the mobility of the lattice oxygen species, which was favorable for catalytic activity. Moreover, the well-dispersed negatively charged Pd particles and suitable redox properties derived from Na addition also contributed to the improved performance and water resistance of the Na1Pd1/Al2O3 catalyst. In situ DRIFTS results revealed that benzene was oxidized to maleate and acetate species via intermediate o-benzoquinone species, which finally turned into harmless CO2 and H2O. 展开更多

Sodium butyrate is a histone deacetylase inhibitor that affects various types of brain damages.To investigate the effects of sodium butyrate on hippocampal dysfunction that occurs after whole-brain irradiation in animal models and the effect of sodium butyrate on radiation exposure-induced cognitive impairments,adult C57BL/6 mice were intraperitoneally treated with 0.6 g/kg sodium butyrate before exposure to 10 Gy cranial irradiation.Cognitive impairment in adult C57BL/6 mice was evaluated via an object recognition test 30 days after irradiation.We also detected the expression levels of neurogenic cell markers(doublecortin)and phosphorylated cAMP response element binding protein/brain-derived neurotrophic factor.Radiation-exposed mice had decreased cognitive function and hippocampal doublecortin and phosphorylated cAMP response element binding protein/brain-derived neurotrophic factor expression.Sodium butyrate pretreatment reversed these changes.These findings suggest that sodium butyrate can improve radiation-induced cognitive dysfunction through inhibiting the decrease in hippocampal phosphorylated cAMP response element binding protein/brain-derived neurotrophic factor expression.The study procedures were approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of Korea Institute of Radiological Medical Sciences(approval No.KIRAMS16-0002)on December 30,2016. 展开更多

Meta-analysis of the traditional Chinese medicine fumigation combined with sodium hyaluronate in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis

Objective:To explore the meta-analysis of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation combined with sodium hyaluronate in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.Methods: The database was originated from CNKI, Wanfang, Chongqing Weipu database, PubMed and so on. The deadline was April 2017. The database was searched with the keywords of'Chinese herbal fumigation','sodium hyaluronate' and'knee osteoarthritis'. Finally, 13 articles about the treatment of Chinese herbal fumigation combined with sodium hyaluronate were obtained. RCT literatures of knee osteoarthritis identified the outcome indicators as the effective rate and recovery rate. Lysholm's score was observed after treatment in both groups, and all the results were input into Review Manager 5.2 for analysis.Result: A total of 13 RCT literatures about the treatment of knee osteoarthritis with Chinese herbal fumigation and sodium hyaluronate were obtained. The control group was treated with sodium hyaluronate or anti-inflammatory drugs, totaling 619 cases. The study group was treated with sodium hyaluronate and Chinese herbal fumigation, totaling 649 cases. The combined effect of forest map OR=1.82, Z=5.00 (P<0.00001), 95% CI. (1.44, 2.30). Compared with sodium hyaluronate or anti-inflammatory drugs, fumigation with traditional Chinese medicine combined with sodium hyaluronate has obvious advantages in curing knee osteoarthritis. The combined effect of forest chart OR=5.55, Z=7.44 (P<0.00001), 95% CI (3.54, 8.73), indicating that compared with sodium hyaluronate or anti-inflammatory drugs, traditional Chinese medicine is used. Fumigation combined with sodium hyaluronate has obvious advantages in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis;forest map combined effect OR=12.11, Z=5.18 (P<0.00001), 95% CI (7.53, 16.68), indicating that compared with sodium hyaluronate or anti-inflammatory drugs, traditional Chinese medicine fumigation combined with sodium hyaluronate in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis can restore knee joint function. 目的研制锂、钠、钾、镁、钙、氯复合电解质冰冻人血清国家标准品,并评价其性能,促进锂、钠、钾、镁、钙、氯电解质测定的标准化。方法收集含不同浓度锂、钠、钾、镁、钙、氯离子的无溶血、脂血和黄疸血清,经多重过滤、除菌后分装,制备... 目的研制锂、钠、钾、镁、钙、氯复合电解质冰冻人血清国家标准品,并评价其性能,促进锂、钠、钾、镁、钙、氯电解质测定的标准化。方法收集含不同浓度锂、钠、钾、镁、钙、氯离子的无溶血、脂血和黄疸血清,经多重过滤、除菌后分装,制备成3个水平的候选品,-70℃保存。以钾离子作为均匀性评价的特性量,采用单因素方差分析评价候选品的均匀性。以钾、钠、氯离子作为稳定性评价的特性量,采用线性回归分析评价候选品的稳定性。采用参考方法或经验证的方法定值,并计算不确定度。评估候选品、新鲜血清样本在参考方法或经验证的方法与4个常规检测系统间的互通性。结果3个水平侯选品中,钾离子的均匀性检验F值分别为1.6301、1.4986和1.0208,均<F0.05;钾、钠、氯离子在2~8℃、20~25℃和-20℃条件下,均至少可稳定30d。3个水平侯选品中,锂离子定值结果分别为(0.649±0.022)、(1.195±0.032)、(1.334±0.008)mmol/L(k=2),钠离子定值结果分别为(120.057±2.206)、(142.030±1.521)、(158.228±1.293)mmol/L(k=2),钾离子定值结果分别为(5.042±0.143)、(5.739±0.106)、(6.158±0.094)mmol/L(k=2),镁离子定值结果分别为(0.732±0.021)、(0.857±0.026)、(1.144±0.026)mmol/L(k=2),钙离子定值结果分别为(2.014±0.078)、(2.348±0.056)、(3.070±0.024)mmol/L(k=2),氯离子定值结果分别为(90.814±2.005)、(108.875±0.908)、(128.156±1.453)mmol/L(k=2)。钠、钾、镁、钙和氯离子3个水平侯选品浓度均在新鲜血清样本的95%可信区间内,互通性良好。结论制备的锂、钠、钾、镁、钙、氯复合电解质冰冻人血清国家标准品候选品均匀性、稳定性好,钠、钾、镁、钙和氯离子侯选品互通性良好,定值准确可靠,可作为国家标准品使用。 展开更多

目的分析2015年中国15省份成年居民膳食钠的摄入状况。方法数据来源于中国居民营养状况变迁的队列研究,该项目采用连续3 d 24h回顾法记录食物摄入量及称重法记录的家庭调味品消费量。本研究选取15个省份2015年数据完整的14 847名18岁及... 目的分析2015年中国15省份成年居民膳食钠的摄入状况。方法数据来源于中国居民营养状况变迁的队列研究,该项目采用连续3 d 24h回顾法记录食物摄入量及称重法记录的家庭调味品消费量。本研究选取15个省份2015年数据完整的14 847名18岁及以上居民,进行钠摄入量分析,比较不同特征居民膳食钠的摄入量(M)差异。结果14 847名研究对象中男性占47.1%,农村及北方居民分别占60.1%和37.7%。2015年中国成年居民膳食钠摄入量为3 960.0 mg/d;男性的钠摄入量(4 272.1 mg/d)高于女性(3 716.6 mg/d),45~59岁居民(4 257.0 mg/d)高于其他年龄组(18~44岁居民为3 867.1 mg/d,60岁及以上居民为3 799.0 mg/d),农村居民(4 042.9 mg/d)高于城市(3 866.8 mg/d),北方居民(4 229.2 mg/d)高于南方(3 806.8 mg/d),P值均<0.05。膳食钠摄入量低于2 000 mg/d的占11.8%。2015年,中国成年居民膳食钠主要来源于调味品(79.4%),其后依次为烹调食物(11.9%)和加工食品(8.7%)。调味品中,食盐提供的钠占63.6%,其次为酱油,占10.4%。结论2015年中国成年居民膳食钠摄入较高,且存在性别、地区差别;调味品是膳食钠的主要来源。 展开更多

目的分析我国普通人群24h尿钠与微量白蛋白尿(MAU)的相关性。方法于2013年在山东省高密市和烟台市福山区,江苏省新沂市和赣榆县4个调查点,采用多阶段整群随机抽样的方法,选取2 400名18~69岁调查对象进行问卷调查、体格测量和24h尿液收集... 目的分析我国普通人群24h尿钠与微量白蛋白尿(MAU)的相关性。方法于2013年在山东省高密市和烟台市福山区,江苏省新沂市和赣榆县4个调查点,采用多阶段整群随机抽样的方法,选取2 400名18~69岁调查对象进行问卷调查、体格测量和24h尿液收集,最终纳入2 262名进行分析。根据24h尿钠的四分位数将调查对象分成Q1~Q4组,比较不同组之间的尿微量白蛋白水平及MAU检出率,采用多因素logistic回归模型分析尿钠与MAU发生的关系。结果调查对象年龄为(42.1±13.5)岁,其中男性1 124名(49.7%)。24h尿量为(1 411±495)ml,尿钠为(166.4±71.6)mmol/d,尿微量白蛋白M(P25,P75)为12.5(9.6,17.4)mg/d,MAU检出率为9.0%(203例),随着尿钠水平的升高,尿微量白蛋白水平呈上升趋势(P趋势<0.001),MAU检出率也呈上升趋势(P趋势<0.001)。调整年龄、性别、吸烟、饮酒、体重指数、高血压和糖尿病后,24h尿钠Q4组比Q1组人群MAU发生风险增加了174%,OR(95%CI)值为2.74(1.80~4.16)。结论24h尿钠与尿微量白蛋白及MAU发生有关,减盐有助于减少MAU发生。 展开更多
