Online units of study are now an integral part of accounting education programs. Educators are increasingly becoming responsible for developing and teaching asynchronous online units, which can be challenging. This paper describes the transition of a blended working in professions unit by enhancing the blended materials using cognitive load theory (CLT) at an Australian university. Blended learning significantly reduces face-to-face instruction by integrating online learning experiences. To assess the perceptions of learners on enhanced blended learning materials, survey data were collected and student perception ratings were compared in blended learning environments incorporating CLT concepts and without CLT. Results show that student rated blended learning environments incorporating CLT highly, thus empirically validating the use of CLT in accounting education. The article concludes with suggestions of how accounting educators can incorporate CLT into online accounting instruction. 展开更多

The guiding opinions of the Ministry of Education on deepening the reform of education and teaching emphasize the in-depth combination of information technology and education.To encourage different types of small custom application online courses in colleges and universities,the campus intercollegiate online hybrid teaching,and promote the student-centered teaching and learning methods change.In response to the requirements of reform,this study introduced rain classroom as a mobile teaching method into the first-year basic Japanese teaching in colleges and universities,and conducted the mixed classroom practice under the module teaching theory.The practical results show that the introduction of basic Japanese teaching in rain classroom has greatly improved students’learning enthusiasm and achieved good teaching results.At the same time,as a mobile teaching means,rain classroom is connected online and offline;data integration,teaching management integration,and other aspects still have room for improvement. 展开更多

Traditional college English teaching ideas and methods cannot meet the current needs of talents in modern society;simultaneously,with the continuous deepening of college English teaching reform,ESP(English for Specific Purpose)has become the mainstream of English teaching and research.While Blended Learning combines online digital media with traditional classroom methods,which are of great significance to change the traditional ESP classroom teaching mode,it will significantly improve the effects of English teaching.In this study,ESP Blended Instruction Mode at School of Flight Training in Binzhou University is taken as the research object,and the empirical research is conducted by means of questionnaire survey.The experiment shows that the Blended Instruction Mode has more advantages in improving college students’ESP application ability and is helpful to stimulate their interest in learning,and further enhance their ESP listening,speaking,reading,and writing performance.Teachers have also been greatly improved in this teaching mode,and more targeted suggestions have been put forward. 展开更多

目的探讨混合式教学在流行病学课程中的应用及效果。方法随机抽取2016级护理专业1个班学生为实验组(n=83),另一个班为对照组(n=122),在流行病学选修课中分别采用混合式教学和传统教学。授课结束后对两组学生分别进行相应问卷的不记名调... 目的探讨混合式教学在流行病学课程中的应用及效果。方法随机抽取2016级护理专业1个班学生为实验组(n=83),另一个班为对照组(n=122),在流行病学选修课中分别采用混合式教学和传统教学。授课结束后对两组学生分别进行相应问卷的不记名调查;同时采用非标准答案考试成绩及学生对综合能力培养的认可度两项指标评价教学效果。应用SPSS18.0,对组间数据比较行t检验、检验。结果实验组学生总评平均成绩(85.55±10.49)高于对照组(80.07±9.47),差异有统计学意义(=3.897,P=0.000);实验组学生对混合式教学培养独立自主学习能力、协作能力、知识应用及解决问题能力的认可程度,高于对照组对传统教学在各项能力培养上的认可度,差异均有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论混合式教学适用于流行病学课程,其教学效果为学生所认可。 展开更多

Use of the average age ratio method in analyzing age heaping in censuses:The case of China 预览

Based on the methods of the average period age ratio and the average cohort age ratio,this study systematically assesses age heaping or digit preference in all population censuses of China.Our study finds that the overall age heaping was relatively low in the Chinese censuses;however,there was a notable preference for ages ending with zero after age 50 in the first two censuses,despite a weakening trend over time.Our study further shows that age heaping in China’s censuses is likely associated with age-related policies such as those on late marriage and retirement.As shown in the study,the average age ratio method can be an alternative of the Whipple’s Index and be improved if the size of birth cohort was taken into account when the number of births is generally reliable. 展开更多
