The stress evolution, total charging time and capacity utilization of pulse charging (PC) method are investigated in this pape匚 It is found that compared to the conventional constant current (CC) charging method, the PC method can accelerate the charging process but will inevitably cause an increase in stress and a decrease in capacity. The charging speed for PC method can be estimated by the mean current. By introducing stress control, a modified PC method called the PCCC method, which starts with a PC operation followed by a CC operation, is proposed. The PCCC method not only can accelerate charging process but also can avoid the stress raising and capacity loss occurring in the PC method. Furthermore, the optimal pulsed current density and switch time in the PCCC method is also discussed. 展开更多

Speed-Grading Mobile Charging Policy in Large-Scale Wireless Rechargeable Sensor Networks 预览

As the technological breakthrough is made in wireless charging, the wireless rechargeable sensor networks (WRSNs) are finally proposed. In order to reduce the charging completion time, most existing works use the “mobilethen- charge” model—the Wireless charging vehicles (WCV) moves to the charging spot first and then charges nodes nearby. These works often aim to reduce the node’s movement delay or charging delay. However, the charging opportunities during the movement are overlooked in this model because WCV can charge nodes when it goes from one spot to the next. In order to use the charging opportunities, a speed grading method is proposed under the circumstance of variable WCV speed, which transformed the problem of final charging delay into a traveling salesman problem with speed grading. The problem was further solved by linear programming method. The simulation experiments show that, compared with the existing charging methods, the proposed method has a significant improvement in charging delay. 展开更多

In addition, the power generation technology for distributed photovoltaic has matured. This paper presents a design scheme for a fast charging station for electric vehicles equipped with distributed photovoltaic power generation system taking the area with certain conditions in Beijing as an example construction site. The technical indexes and equipment lectotype covering the general framework and subsystems of the charging station are determined by analyzing the charging service demand of fast charging stations. In this study, the layout of the station is developed and the operation benefits of the station is analyzed. The design scheme realizes the design objective of "rationalization, modularization and intelligentization" of the fast charging station and can be used as reference for the construction of a fast charging network in urban area. 展开更多

Geochemistry and origin of Ordovician oils in the Rewapu Block of the Halahatang Oilfield(NW China)

The oils in the Rewapu Block of the Halahatang Oilfield in the Tarim Basin (northwestern China) were geochemically analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry to investigate their origin and possible secondary alteration. The physical properties and chemical compositions of these Ordovician oils vary greatly, ranging from light to extremely heavy oils. All these oils belong to one single population and were derived from same source kitchen/bed. The differences in their chemical compositions and physical properties mainly result from secondary alteration of oils that were charged during the early phase of trap formation. The thickness of Upper Ordovician and Silurian caprocks of oil reservoirs in the Rewapu Block is higher than that in the north part of the Halahatang region, and therefore, significant biodegradation process is prevented. Compared to heavy oils in the north part, the Rewapu oils are dominated by light oils with no 25-norhopanes and no GC-MS "hump"(UCM: unresolved complex mixture) on the chromatographic baselines. The heavy oils in Wells RP7 and RP101C were primarily influenced by water washing since apparent reduction of alkylated dibenzothiophenes was observed. The local geological background favored the water washing alteration. The reservoir geochemical study has practical application in hydrocarbon exploration and predicts the nature of oils in this oilfield. 展开更多

A distributed energy management in a photovoltaic charging station(PV-CS) is proposed on the basis of different behavioural responses of electric vehicle(EV) drivers. On the basis of the provider or the consumer of the power, charging station and EVs have been modeled as independent players with different preferences. Because of the selfish behaviour of the individuals and their hierarchies, the power distribution problem is modeled as a noncooperative Stackelberg game. Moreover, Karush-Kuhn-Tucker(KKT) conditions and the most socially stable equilibrium are adopted to solve the problem in hand. The consensus network, a learning-based algorithm, is utilized to let the EVs communicate and update their own charging power in a distributed fashion. Simulation analysis is supported to show the static and dynamic responses as well as the effectiveness and workability of the proposed charging power management. For the sake of showing the responses of EV drivers, different behavioural responses of EVs’ drivers to the discount on the charging price offered by the station are introduced. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed energy management. 展开更多

Multi-stage Electrostatic Separation for Recovering of Aluminum from Fine Granules of Black Dross

Separation of aluminum from fine granules of black dross, which is a waste by-product in secondary aluminum production, was investigated. The separation was performed by a multi-stage electrostatic separation method. There are three stages to complete the separation, including preliminary separation, pulse charging enhancement and secondary concentration. Chemical and mineralogical compositions of collection products were analyzed and determined by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and X-ray Fluorescence(XRF). After multistage electrostatic separation, the Al2O3 content of the collection products increases from 50.74% to 69.77%.The mineralogical phase analysis indicates that the final recovery of metallic aluminum phase increases from 8%to 37%, and the aluminum oxide phase increases from 20% to 26%. The research results show the multi-stage electrostatic separation method is effective for recovering of aluminum from fine granules of black dross, and upgrades the black dross to a recoverable material. 展开更多

This paper proposes a design and control approach to parallel resonant converter(PRC) based battery chargers.The proposed approach is particularly suitable for the constant-current constant-voltage(CC-CV)charging method, which is the most commonly utilized one.Since the PRC is operated at two different frequencies for each CC and CV charging modes, this approach eliminates the need for complicated control techniques such as the frequency-control and phase-shift-control.The proposed method not only simplifies the design and implementation processes of the converter unit but also simplifies the design of output filter configuration and decreases the number of the required components for the control of the charger.The proposed method is confirmed by two experimental setups.The results show that the designed charger circuit ensured a very stable constant current in CC charging phase, where the charging current is fixed to 1.75 A.Although a voltage increase in CV phase is observed, the charger circuit is able to decrease the charging current to 0.5 A in CV phase, as depicted in battery data-sheet.The efficiency of the charger is figured out to be in the range of 86%-93% in the first setup, while it is found to be in the range of 78%-88% in the second setup,where a high frequency transformer is employed. 展开更多
