The young teachers in agriculture and forestry specialties are willing to their work,which is the premise for improving the level of teaching and research and directly related to the development of agricultural higher education. Through the questionnaire survey on the career satisfaction,teaching ability and scientific research level of young teachers in agriculture and forestry specialties,the development status of young teachers was analyzed. A series of countermeasures were proposed,including that the school should formulate the development plan and training plan for young teachers and strengthen the post-employment learning of young teachers;and corresponding funding and reward systems should be established,incentives and restraint policies should be formulated for the improvement of young teachers’ research and teaching capabilities;the humane care of young teachers should be strengthened and a good working environment should be created for young teachers.
